Really delicious tacos, cheap prices and a totally non-frills vibe is what describes this place. I came to this place with another Yelper one night before heading out. Anna had raved about the tacos here and I was rightfully intrigued. How could tacos be that good? But the tacos were great! It took a little while for them to come out but I was pleasantly surprised. Between the two of us, I tried a pretty good variety of tacos. I cant remember how many tacos I tried. I distinctly recall the chorizo taco, though, because it was the best out of all of them. The taco ingredients were very fresh and the flavor was out of this world. The chicken taco I got definitely needed some sauce to give it some juice, but otherwise, still pretty good. Prices at this place are really cheap. Its around $2 per taco, which is a pretty decent price. You could easily eat three tacos and be full, so $6 for a meal sounds pretty okay with me. The service is really friendly, just dont be surprised if the place is busy! When we went, it was packed. We sat at the bar area, but it wasnt too big of an issue. I would definitely come back if I was in the area and would recommend these tacos to anyone in Tampa!

update: they have expanded their seating area and increased seating capacity. Soft tacos and sopes are some of the best in Tampa and we tried a variety of pork, chicken and Chorizo . This place is no frills and the restaurant portion is located toward the back of the grocery store with limited seating- so when you enter just keep straight and head to the back. Dont let that the fact its in a grocery store deter you because the price is right and the food is exceptionally good and tastes great with service being better than expected. Fountain drinks are not available here but they do have a good variety of canned and bottled soft drinks and juices. My order of pork sopes (three for $8.00) came hot and fresh with the pork flavored perfectly and a fair amount of it. The tacos were $2.00 each and were also very good. I especially enjoyed their red salsa, so much that we ordered 12oz to go.

They say you always hurt the ones you love most...thats how I feel knowing Ive never left a review for Acapulco...for as many times as Ive walked into those doors craving their food and walked out satisfied. Shame on me. At any rate, the tacos are authentic and fantastic...but its all about the sopas, people! 2 al pastor, 1 carne and add a buche taco if Im really starving. For the record, buche is not "sweet bread" as we Americans may understand it...its pork and that is all you probably want to know, but its delicious! Dont expect much of the interior, its just a cafe in the back of a Mexican grocery store with limited seating and tables are turned pretty quickly- so dont fret! Did I mention cheap, too? TIP: Grab a drink from the cooler, they arent served at your table. Youll pay for everything at the front register when youre finished eating.

I did not buy from the tacqueria although I saw a small cafeteria toward the back of the grocery store. I checked the expiration dates on the Dulce de Leche and other products and most had already expired! Im talking about expiration dates from January or February 2014. Were already in July! I would not recommend going to this store. If theyre willing to sell these expired products, can you imagine what products theyre using in the cafeteria? STAY AWAY!!!

I consider myself a taco connoisseur. I have many years of taco eating from various areas of the world. This little grocery store has the best tasting authentic tacos in Tampa, hands down. They are also the best VALUE at only $2 each! Ive been everywhere else, and while the other places are good, this place combines taste, quality, and price to provide the best taco value in Tampa.

Small place and great selection of tacos meats and since in the store they have a butcher you know fresh meats and great selection of Mexican sodas. The red and green salsas are great the green salsa its good and not too hot with a lime hint and the red salsa has good flavor and has a good kick. Totally recommend this place if your looking for great authentic Mexican tacos.

Finally a real Mexican taco place. So many duds in the Tampa Bay area. Im from South Texas and this place is the bomb. The flavoring is muy perfecto. Friendly and accommodating staff with even better food. Not a huge menu option but the best places usually dont one. Will drive from St Pete just to eat here lol. They have Mexican coke too lol

Tasty. Authentic. Certainly not trying to impress with the ambiance of the grocery store....keep it that way...keep cost low so the food stays cheap. A place up north started similar. Decided to expand to a full restaurant. Prices went up and quality went down. Good value. Well worth the visit any time we are in the area.

No joke, best tacos in Tampa. I lived in Yuma, Arizona (border town) so mexican places were everywhere. I havent had a taco that reminded me of how authentic and good the ones I had in AZ were, until I came here. I know this place isnt very attractive, but dont judge a book by its cover..it is very very good.

Great tacos! Wow! Authentic Mexican food in an unusual spot. Tables are literally in the middle of a convenience store that sells Mexican goods. But again, the tacos....DELICIOUS. Busy place during lunch rush. Get there early for a table.

Best pozole in Tampa and its surrounding areas. Still not my mothers or my grandmas pozole but is the closest thing in many years!! The tacos and huaraches are great. Plus authentic Mexican chips, spicy nuts, candy etc...

My favorite tacos in Tampa. I had to contemplate my previous taco knowledge after eating the al pastor. The chorizo is also great. Their salsa takes it to a new level too, have not had a bad experience here.

Legitimate Mexican Tacos at a good price. The ambience and customers tell you all you need to know regarding authenticity. The tacos were delicious and customer service was great.

The cocina where you can order the tasty tacos and sopes is in the back of this tiendita. Make sure you top your food w/ their homemade verde or rojo salsa caliente. Ay que rico!

Didnt stay long enough to eat. Three people working but none greeted me. Kitchen is dirty, no customers. Nothing cooking. People shouldnt even think about eating here.
