I went in for an eye exam and the Eye Dr. ask me about wearing contacts. I thought about it and made an appointment to have an exam for contacts. The first pair I was fitted for was for long distant so I would have to wear glasses anyway which is why I wanted to try contacts. I called the office within two weeks and talked to the staff which told me I would have to see the Dr. again. I made an appointment and the day before my appointment I got a call from the office and was told I did not need an appointment since I had been there before. She checked with the Eye Dr. and contacts were ordered. When I went to pick them up there were different staff and they told me I would have to make an eye appointment. When I explained what the other staff member said they gave me the ordered contacts and was told that if these didnt work there were other ones to try. I called two weeks later because I was told to give the contact a couple weeks to adjust to my eyes to try another combinations and this time was told I would need to see the Dr. again. When I again explained about already having two visits they put me on hold for like 10 mins and then the staff came back on and said to use the first contacts that I was original given and just wear glasses when I read or use the computer. I told the staff what I was told when I picked up my last contacts and was told there was no other way but to wear the first contacts and wear my glasses. I tried contacts because I did not want to wear glasses and the Eye Dr. told me I was could use contacts and not have to wear glasses on my second eye appointment. I would not recommend the LensCrafter here because staff does not know what they are doing or how to work together to keep things straight. They always want to make an appointment to see the Dr even though I had already had two exams and seen the Dr. Now I will need to pay more money and see another Dr to get the correct contacts. At least the new Dr will follow me until he has fitted me with contacts that work and I will only have to pay once. What a shame I even have to pay exam when I have already paid for two with the LensCraft Eye Dr. Live and learn. I will not recommend these people to anyone and I will discourage them from using them. I know I am just one person and they could care less if they loss a customer but I am disappointed.

I have come here for the last 5-6 years for my familys eye exam and eyewear. The doctors are not bad. The Lenscrafters staff (those who take care of the store) are polite. The doctors staff (those who handle the medical stuff and contact lenses) are a BIG mess. They are always miscalculating charges, overcharging, and they certainly dont know or understand how to accurately explain the charges. They are almost constantly making mistakes calculating the copayment for the exam and fitting, it makes me think they do it on purpose. When they try to explain the charges they think they can get away with their technical/medical explanation that you wouldnt understand. Thankfully I understand all the details of my vision insurance coverage and I am always prepared to question the charges if I see something that does not look right (which occurs almost every time) and have them corrected. And by the way, found out I have been paying way too much for contacts at this place and found other places with prices almost half of their price. For years I gave them a break to have my business because they are close to home. Not anymore. I am not returning to this place.

I have previously worked in the eye care field. I have worked on the optical side as an optician and on the doctors side as a tech. This facility is absolutely AWFUL! A little is my fault because I assumed the kind of contacts I wore were still "in selection". When I went to check out my bill was way more than expected and after I looked into it I understood why. But they could not explain it well to me while I was there. I ended up getting a different kind of contact to keep cost down and was told "if I wanted to change back that theyd charge me the difference for the contacts." Ive NEVER heard a doctors office do that. Way to nickle and dime everyone... I also feel like they make it a hassle to get a copy of your prescription. I know very well that if they send me a release form and I sign off on it that they can fax me my prescription. I was told they can either send it to another doctors office or I can come pick it up. WOW thanks. I will call my previous employer to get my prescription for me just so I dont have to go back into this wretched place again. I will also recommend to everyone I know, not to go to here.

If I could give NEGATIVE stars right now I would. My 22 year old daughter was in a near critical car wreck last week, her pelvis was fractured, her glasses destroyed. I called LensCrafters to ask for a replacement pair, she is nearly legally blind. She cannot walk more than two steps with her walker without resting. She has a long road to recovery but praise God she will recover. The problem is she is struggling to see as she learns to walk again. I was willing to pay FULL PRICE for a replacement pair so that my sweet daughter could at least see while trying to learn to walk with a walker. I was told her prescription had expired and they REFUSED to replace her glasses without her coming in for an eye exam, SERIOUSLY?!?! I have never been so disappointed in a business in my life. Shame on you LensCrafters, shame on you.

Poor communication. My family have all our vision needs here. My last visit The Doctor did not listen that I was not happy with the air optics and wanted to try the Baush and Lombe. He talked me into the acuvue. We go here for Saturday hours. When I tried to schedule the following Saturday I was told follow up visits can only be made during the week. I could only get a day off work exactly 37 days from my Saturday visit and they wanted to charge me for a complete eye exam even though the first prescription is in correct. We only went here because the accept our insurance. But that only took 20 dollars off my bill. Zero customer service after I took off a day of work. not willing to work with me or offer options. I seriously cannot even believe the number of negative reviews on this place! I went there last week for an eye exam with Dr. Scott Theile and he was amazing! The staff were equally amazing! I was very scared because I found out I have an aggressive cataract (Im only 29years old) so I was about in tears but the Dr. took his time explain everything to me including treatment which turned out to be great news for me. I will HIGHLY recommend this place to my friends and family and any one else looking for a place to go...by the way- after reading some of the reviews it seems most people were upset over price- if your looking to penny pinch folks go to Walmart for crying out loud.
