I have been taking my two dogs to this pet smart for the vet and the grooming for the past 5-7 years. Every single visit we have wether its with the vet or the grooming has been a bad one for both me and the animals. We continued to bring them hoping they were just one off experiences and that it would be better the next time. Wrong. Every time. This last visit for each of my dogs I had enough. The vet refused to examine my boxer because they could not approach him without him feeling threatened. Im sorry, when you shut a dog in between a door and its frame because he is scared about the procedure he is about to have and the vets dont know how to consult him appropriately, he is going to get timid. The groomers dont know how to provide a proper service that is being paid for. Every time I take my Maltese in, they end up cutting him and blaming the injury on him not sitting still. Im sorry, arent you the "trained professionals" who should know how to comfort a dog in a not so comfortable position? I took my Maltese in YESTERDAY 11/6/16 for a bath and grooming. When I came to pick him up he had a hair cut which I was completely fine with the length because he needed it, but he also needed the bath that I paid for. When I picked him up he had crusty flakes all over his body that were not there prior to me dropping him off, and he smelt like a sweaty dog. So I took him back inside and they told me they would rewash him but "they didnt have time to do it today." The grooming staff who "preformed" his services also lied and stated that he doesnt smell clean because when she offered to use a special shampoo on him, it was declined. First off, I can use regular soap at home and he will smell clean; it does not take a "special shampoo" to make a dog smell good. And second off, this "special shampoo" wasnt even offered to us upon dropping him off. Vanessa, the employee who performed his services, only stated this because we were at that time talking in front of her manager. Long story short, they did end up washing him again-however, it took close to another hour for him to get a bath. So I had to leave him there again and come back to pick him up because the job was not completed in the first place , therefore traumatizing my dog some more and impacting my plans for the day. Will never go back to either of these places for the care of my pets. Would not recommend.

I normally do not write reviews, but as a former retail manager I feel that I need to in regards to this experience. Now, I will start out by saying no I did not read the hours listed on the door (apparently open at 9 for the retail store), however there should be no need to if the doors are OPEN. I went to pick up some prescription food for my cat and had my 2 yr old with me around 8:30AM. We are walking around looking at the fish and animals for a little bit before doing our shopping. Then I picked out the food and some litter and went up to the Banfield counter, after waiting a few more minutes the girl that was on the phone tells me that I need to pay via the store. Well, for starters I have paid for my items there before. So, I go to the register and wait another few moments while being ignored by the the staff in the grooming area. I note this because at this point someone could have clearly informed us that the registers are not open, not to mention the other staffer that was working on price changes on the sales floor. This is when I checked the hours since I was near the entrance and find the store hours are different then everything else. As a retail manager the excuse I got when I called after leaving was no good. Yes, I understand corporate policies and the fact that you have various service business that are apparently open prior to the retail portion of the store, this is a fundamental flaw in corp. policies and shows that PetSmart does not care about the everyday customer; rather you are more interested in the higher profit margins of your services. Sorry, but it is all or nothing, all hours need to match if you have your door open. I was also given some nonsense about budget hours. Sorry, I have ran store with less people then I saw already working and one of them easily could ring someone out. Plus, lets be real... price changes, merchandising, and any other activities are very important, but NEVER more important then a customer trying to pay for goods. Again, as a retail person none of this makes sense to me for the above reason and that is not even considering shrink/theft if you have no one near the door or paying any attention to what is occurring in your store. You lost a customer today.

My wife and I went to this store today for dog treats and looked at the birds like we always do. The one cockatiel they had was missing its tail, had mites crawling on it, and it was curled up in the corner of the display case. As a cockatiel owner, its obvious that this bird has been sick for an extended amount of time. There is no excuse for this especially since they have an on site veterinarian. The "manager" decided to pretend like she cared once the poor condition of this bird was brought up to her. Ive seen cockatiels at flea markets in better shape than this. The poor thing was suffering. The entire display case had mites everywhere so Id imagine the parakeets were covered in them as well. And of course they werent willing to let us buy the bird from them to provide it adequate care.

I took my 6 month old border collie/black lab puppy in for beginner/puppy training with trainer Allison King. She was phenomenal! After the 6 week course both my puppy and myself were trained! She has recognized me and Levi by name every single time we see her in the store and has been so helpful to pick out the right products and foods for him. All of the employees at both PetSmart, inside Banfield and at the groomers have been so knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. I recommend this PetSmart, especially Allisons training classes to everyone! Plus the store is always clean and has a huuuuge variety of everything you could need!

I have been going to Banfield and Petsmart for grooming for over 10 years with 4 pets. I have nothing to say but good things. Recently I had to euthanize my cat and the compassion exhibited to me by the staff at Banfield and the care that they gave my cat and family during this difficult time was by far exceeding all my expectations. I will always remember the team and how even after my cat passed they showed respect for her as they cradled her in a towel like a newborn baby to take her out of the room. I would recommend their service to anyone. The groomers have been grooming my dogs and they always do a great job!
