PROFILING AT THE STORE. If you are a professional minority and do not want to be embarrassed do not go to this store. The idea of using technology to shop and check yourself out is great. But how do they take care of security? By profiling. They will tell you its random check but thats nonsense. They repeatedly pick on certain people and I will demonstrate below. The scanner will say random check, or they will stop you at checkout or on your way out and go through your merchandise. They also are known to follow some people around. I took a survey among my friends and relatives who are from all ethnicities and live in the area and shop here. At least each one of the people I interviewed (friends and relatives) had all been at the store 5-10 times. Among the dark ethnic group they have all had about two random checks, the browner ones about one random check and the lightest ethnic group none had had any random checks at all. I also found that among these people, my lightest friends had visited the store the most times but never profiled. This is not random, its humans choosing who to follow around and profile. This is a neighborhood with intelligent and educated people. If you do not want to be embarrassed do not go to this store.

I have NEVER, ever given any Walmart a five star rating, and with good reason. Most experiences are transactional. You try and locate help to no avail, or if you do manage to track down someone they either arent trained well or knowledgeable, or they may not even speak English. This Walmart in Lake Nona is head and shoulders above any other experience Ive ever had. So much so, I travel 30 minutes out of my way to shop here instead of at the two SuperCenters within 3 miles from my home. Also, this Walmart features things that only one other store (currently) in the country; Scan and Go handheld devices (Sams Club has a Scan and Go app as does Walmart) with device holders each cart and a full service Family Salon through a partnership with Hair Cuttery! With Scan and Go think wedding/bridal registry list shopping meets self checkout; you scan your items as you shop then the device contents are downloaded to the register! All you have to do is bag, pay, and go! A WONDERFUL experience I fully recommend... from a WALMART of all places?!

Employees are thieves. During checkout I asked for money back. I forgot to pick it up. It was in the morning with very few customers I was actually the only one checking out and one employee to help with checkout. When I called to ask about it, the first person transferred to another person at the customer service. She said they had found the money. She asked meet to hold and transferred me to another person, this person they had found the money and told me they would call me back and asked for my number. No one ever did. When I called back I asked to speak to manager. The manager said no money was found. It is obvious they found the money I think they probably divided among themselves. What a shame.

Pros: An organized Walmart with good amenities like groceries, a tire center, a garden center, salon and a lot of home goods. Pick up is convenient for customers who dont want to spend time shopping in the store. If you do decide to shop, there is plenty of parking available. There is usually no wait at the check out of self-checkout lines. You can also use their scanner technology to pay as you go and bypass the lines alltogether. Cons: This location needs better signage to help customers quickly locate common household items like toothpaste and shampoo. I had to ask an associate for help after circling the area for a few minutes with no luck.

This is the best Wal-Mart I have been to in a very long time. The store is very clean, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The beauty and nail salon are very clean. There are handicapped electric carts available to use that are all clean and in working order. In most Wal-Marts they might if you are real lucky have 3 to 5 carts but they arent clean and are not in working order and if you need one to shop this is an important service. Love the scanning gun it allows you to check prices as you go as well as speeds up your check out time.. BRAVO Wal-Mart Lake Nona

This Walmart offers a. Better experience than at all other Walmarts. The scan and go is awesome, no need to find the shorter line at check out. You scan as you go and if you use the app on your phone you can check out on the app. If not on your phone, you can pick up a scan and go device when you enter the store. Scan as you go, then check out at self checkout by scanning the barcode on the devise with the self checkout scanner then pay and youre done. I use my phone and I am in and out in record time. This is available at all Sans Club as well

Tried of waiting in line to checkout? No more!! This Walmart has the scan&gos by far my favorite way to shop. Its so simple I can scan my items as I shop using an app on my phone and have everything checked out before I even get to the registers, then they scan a barcode on my phone, I get a digital receipt and Im out the door! ALSO theres a new Tech Services section back in the electronics department where you can get your phone fixed, hopefully I wont need them but its good to know theyre there! Looks like they make custom phone cases as well...

Worst pedicure ever ! I wanted to try Walmart Salon and went for a pedicure, worst experience ever, how are you going to do a pedicure without soaking my feet in water? Really? $60 dollars for a dry pedicure? This girl took 35 minutes taking my old gel off and scrubbed my dry feet for about 30 secs!!!!! The 1 star is only for the salon services, store is well kept.

I love this place and the salon. Only thing is the prices are higher here than the one on goldenrod, their ethnic food and hair products are so limited. I think they dont want people with melanin to shop there I love their customer service, but find product availability lacking. Nice organic produce selection, and love the quick checkouts, though.

This is still a Walmart but if your expecting it to be like a Walmart you might be shocked. This is Walmart in the 21st century. Think polished cement steel and glass and a smattering of industrial with some high tech thrown in for good measure. They still have everything you expect but the presentation will blow you away.

Was in this store early this morning being made to feel very uncomfortable because of its associates following me around watching my every move. I am a working professional and pay for all my purchases. They should stop making assumptions based on their limited exposure to the world in their own personal lives. #profiled

The new Wal-Mart at Lake Nona is easily the best in the area! The store is also bigger than most with way more selection as well. I love using the new personal scanner as well. We live in Kissimmee and have stopped going to the St. Cloud Wal-Mart because its no where near as good and not stocked half of the time.
