I have been a customer since 1987 when they were located downtown Canal Street. I left for a few years and was using a bike shop in Ormond Beach, but came back five (5) years ago. Andy Pallemaerts is the owner and the Bicycle Shop recently moved to 1600 Canal Street. Nathan Robey was the bicycle shop manager, customer service, sales, stock and repair person. He was the best repair person I had ever let touch my "Scott" or my wifes "Madone". We ride 100 to 150 miles a week. Bikes need attention. They do a great job. Anything from routine maintenance to parts replacement to complete modification of the handlebar, shifter, brake and gearing systems (just had done). Today, Nathan is there one or two days a week (but is available if needed). Harrison is now the man and Debbie Pallemaerts provides sales, and customer service assistance. Harrison has 13 years experience and is very, very good at his craft. They now sell Trek and offer a full line and all types. What they dont have in stock, they can get for you (bikes, parts, accessories, apparel, shoes, helmets (offer Kali one of the safest helmets made). I wont take our bikes any place else. This is a 5 star operation.

After much research spanning over 6 months and countless bicycle manufacturers and models, my wife wanted a Townie by Electra. Having been an amateur cyclist in the 80s, I understand the importance of the bicycles components as well as frame design and build. Uncompromising, the Townie is a low step-through, forward extended crank design, internal shift three-speed, aluminum frame, wide-tire street/beach ladies cruiser with Shimano components. We decided upon visiting 3 authorized dealers in our area. I know great customer service, product knowledge and customer-focused sales. I do that for a living. I respect and appreciate no bull-sh.. honesty. When Harrison at Fox Firestone Bicycles patiently spent 45 minutes with us explaining the quality of construction, the personal intended-use benefits of the design and build, I knew he knew his stuff and I was going to buy from him. We had him install a front basket and rear bracket as well as a water bottle cage and bottle. This was a terrific buying experience we are very pleased. I would recommend Fox Firestone to all of our friends who may be looking for a nice bicycle. Im considering a mens Fat-Tire.....

Just moved to NSB and wanted to find a local bike shop to buy some beach bikes for the family. Asked around and consistently received the recommendation that Fox was the place to go. Walked in on a very busy afternoon in July, and Debbie and the team were terrific! They made me and each of the other customers feel as though we were the only ones in the shop. Debbie assisted me and her approach was perfect. I did not want the hard sale, I wanted to ask questions and not feel as though I needed to buy anything. That was exactly how Debbie approach the interaction. Walked out with three new beach bikes and numerous accessories. Just went back last week, and purchased a trike. However, we were concerned that the thin wheels might be a problem on the sand. Debbie recommended upgrading to larger tires. She provided us with options and a recommendation. It took less than a week and the bike was ready to go. Again, service was great! This is the shop for us. Hope you find your interaction the same. Have fun riding!

The manager and the guy who works on the bikes are so rude they should not be on the sales floor. I have never been treated so poorly.I called to report this to the owner and he never returned my call. To fix a flat tire and do a tune-up took almost a week. Really? When I called to see if it was done after five days it was "the next one on the rack." Yeah right. When it was finally done, 2 days later, I had to call them to find out if it was ready to be picked up, even though they knew I was waiting for it. My main complaint is that they are simply bad-mannered and disrespectful of their customers. I will never go back and I suggest that you dont go there either.

Debbie, Ian and the staff at Fox Firestone Bikes provided really excellent guidance and service throughout the process of purchasing two new Townie bicycles for my wife and I. We are totally satisfied with the "as promised" delivery, service, complimentary installation of accessories, and after sale help with advice and guidance. We would recommend Fox Bikes not only to our friends but to anyone looking for a really excellent bicycle store in the greater New Smyrna Beach area.

Had the worst experience ever. Tall slim "mechanic" doesnt know how to treat a customer, very snappy, rude, had a bad attitude problem. Saw his other reviews and thought Id check it out, worst mistake ever. Owners should look into finding a new mechanic that treats the customer with kindness. Was even snappy to the customer on the phone. If he isnt happy then find a new job. Never will go here again.

They do have a huge inventory and I did ride my bike in and they promptly serviced my bike, putting on new tires and a few accessories. The only bad thing is you will pay top dollar for anything. Just 1 example is they had a helmet for sale and it was $59.99. I checked Amazon and the same helmet was $19.99 and being a prime member i got it in 2 days with free shipping.

Friendly staff and great mechanic. I bought a bike from another shop (big mistake) and took it in to fix a slipping chain. It was my sons first road bike and the mechanic showed him all about the gearing, trued up a wheel, and adjusted the seat. Very responsive. Definitely recommend this shop for a new bike and all repairs.
