Ive never have been a fan of going to the eye doctor. If I do go its out of necessity and usually to one of the big chains. I decided to change that a few years ago and went to a local optometrist and sadly I left with a not so great experience. So I avoided going back until I went out of town and broke my glasses. Not wanting to go back to that other place I decided to come here instead. There is something genuinely great about Valuespecs. Dr Smith took the time to give me one the most informed eye exams I have ever had. Ive been wearing glasses for most of my life and I have never had an optometrist treat me with as much respect as Dr Smith did. He actually​ takes the time to explain what hes doing and it makes a huge difference in the whole experience. Purchasing a pair of glasses was great too. Everything was laid out up front as far as pricing for frames and lenses and add ons. Jay did not try to upsell on anything. I got a pair of glasses I felt I wanted at a fair price and not something someone tried to sell me on. I will be back and I am referring as many people as I can to come here.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! HAD BROUGHT MY DAUGHTER IN FOR AN EXAM THIS DOCTOR IS RUDE, WONT EVEN LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS I NEEDED TO ASK HIM A QUESTION CONCERNING MY DAUGHTER AND HE WOULDNT EVEN GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY! HE WROTE HER A PRESCRIPTION FOR GLASSES AND CONTACTS, MY DAUGHTER ASKED FOR THE SAME COMPANY SHE HAD IN THE PAST FOR HER COLORED LENS? DOCTOR SAID NO LONGER IN BUSINESS! WE LEFT CALLED SAMS CLUB THEY HAD THEM! CALLED THE DOCTOR TO CHANGE SCRIPT HE SAID WE NEED ANOTHER APPOINTMENT? I WENT IN AND WAITED FOR THE DOCTOR TO GET IN AND WHEN HE FINALLY GOT THERE I SSKED IF HE COULD CHANGE THE BRAND TO ANOTHER? HE WOULDNT EVEN TALK TO ME I GOT ANGRY AND FOR NO REASON CALLED THE POLICE! ""PEOPLE BRWARE THIS DOCTOR IS A SICK MAN!!"""

Best place to get eye glasses. The staff really care for your eyes and happiness. Jay the owner is a great guy, and he always has the best deals in town!**************July 2016 Update, jay sold me a pair of glasses, they literally broke on my face as i was watching tv. I took them back, he tried charging me more money instead of giving me another pair. Ive SPENT at least 1,000 dollars in there over the last 11 years, and he would rather lose a long lasting, steady, satisfied customer then just give me a pair of $15 glasses folks. Tells you the kind of man were dealing with here. Find your glasses elsewhere.

Awesome customer service and prices. Overall, a great experience. We walked in and were greeted with great smiles and enthusiasm. We didnt have to wait to be seen by the doctor. The exam was very thorough with excellent chair side manner. Then we were directed to a reasonable priced selection of frames, prices included the lenses. The customer service was excellent with no sales pressure. Unfortunately six stars is not an option. We are very satisfied and will be repeat customers as well as spreading the word to our friends and family.

Ive been going to Valuespecs for more than 15 years now! The service is unsurpassed! The selection of frames is exceptional and the staff is always courteous! Especially Jay, the owner. Im always able to find a frame that I like and theyre always ready in two days!!! And did I mention the price? REASONABLE!!! Cannot be beat! Please visit them; you wont regret it. My entire family goes here! I highly recommend this business. Never had a problem with them EVER!

After going to two other shops that were covered by my vision insurance, Valuespecs still charged me $100 less on my rimless progressive lenses without directly accepting insurance. Jay has done small repairs on my frames without charging me a cent and using materials that he has laying around the shop. Their five star rating is well deserved in an industry that seems to overcharge in billing and underwhelm in service.

Been coming here for almost 4 years. DR Smith is great. Jay is awesome, best prices around, even help u submit on insurance plans they dont take. They truly care and go above beyond. Take it from a oncology Nurse, care is stellar!!! Tell jay Erik sent you. Youll be glad you did. Inexpensive designer frames for fraction of cost. Love it!

Ive been going to ValueSpecs since it opened. Four members of my family buy glasses here. Large selection of frames is great. Prices are great. But, Jay is the best optician we have ever experienced. Our ophthalmologist recommended him. He is really good at handling difficult cases. The only one Ive ever found.
