I love Publix. But at this location, the service at the Deli/Fried Chicken is awful. Its been like this for years. I and others I know who frequent the store have complained. But it doesnt change. Not all of the people are bad.. there are some good ones. But too many of the people working in those areas act like helping the customer is the last thing in the world they want to do. Some act like they hate their job. When they finally figure out that they need to see how they can help the customer, they are very, very slow. Getting a sandwich made can take so long. Getting the attention of anyone at the chicken isnt easy. You can be the only one standing there and the employees will see you and pretend they dont. Again, there have been complaints. Not sure how the message can get across that the customer is #1 and should be tended to promptly. I know they may be in the middle of something back there, but at the least acknowledge the customer, be friendly and tell them you will be with them shortly. Dont ignore them! And when you wait on them, do it with a smile and in a timely fashion. Management! Help your people like their job and the customer!

Rarely has anything in stock has happened multiple times. The deli area could use some work. Fried chicken seems to always be gone and rotisserie chicken is sometimes overcooked. The stockers will put their stock carts right smack dab in the middle of the aisles on the busiest days of the week.. Saturday. Major cart jams... The managers are nice and helpful but alot of the younger cashiers lack in customer service skills. They say what they have to say and thats about it. The baggers also dont like to ask you for help out like other stores in the area. They also have a serious lacking in the childrens car carts. As a mom of two I have to use one of those in order to shop. They only have two so if I dont come when the place is dead quiet I have no chance in getting one for kids. I like how close the location of this one is but I go to the North Dale Mabry one if I can help it.

Pretty sad night, went into this store for milk, bread and some cottage cheese and couldnt get a cashier to open to pay. One line open at 2145 hrs with 3 CUSTOMERS each one had huge buggies of food to pay for and a lottery window that was closed for food purchases. Everyone else is going home and could care less. Not the first time Ive walked out of this store leaving behind a purchase because of long cashier lines. I am done with this LUTZ, FL PUBLIX store it looks and acts like a Winn Dixie. Wal-Mart is out of the way but a lot more convenient when I have to pay for my food.

I recently sent my concerns about this apex location to the corporate office in Lakeland. The response was lukewarm. I used to love this store but management has changed and the last 6 months have been the worst! Employees are often heard talking to each other, complaining about mgmt staff. More rotten produce keeps showing up in the produce dept. Deli sandwich making station is poorly staffed. Store cleanliness could be improved. Poorly stocked shelves. I am switching to another grocery chain.

This is the best grocery store within a 10-mile radius. It has a large layout, great no-hassle customer service, lots of cashiers who understand the policies of the store. They solve problems and unique situations quickly so that they can focus on what is important...selling quality food and making the place run smoothly. Cant think of a single complaint. Some other stores of course might have specific items that Publix does not, but for my large shopping trips, Publix wins.

VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, SUNDAY 7 PM WENT TO PICK UP SMALL AMOUNT OF WESTERN UNION LIKE i DO EVERY FEW WEEKS LADY SAID THEY HAVE NO ENOUGH MONEY! THIS IS NOT RIDICULES ?! i ASKED HER SUPERVISOR AND SHE CONFIRMED SAME THING, WHAT i FELTH THEY ALREADY CALCULATED SUMMARY FOR A DAY WORK AND DID NOT WANTED TO RECALCULATE THAT AGAIN, SO THEY QUITE WORK ON 7PM INSTEAD OF 10 PM AS PUBLIX HOURS SHOWS THEY WORK TO... SHAME !

We shop Publix Apex at least twice a week. Weve always had excellent service as well as the best pricing. Patrick in the Deli is always very cheery and helpful. The entire store staff goes above in friendliness and courtesy. The guys in the butcher department are always willing to help out and do special cuts or find unusual items we need. The store is also one of the cleanest stores Ive ever been in.

Im a big fan of Publix so the first thing I did when I moved into the area was scope out which would be *my* Publix. This one wins hands down. Layout is spacious and well-thought-out. Theres a good sized pharmacy section and it is also a drive through. All the usual Publix benefits are here: yummy bakery and deli, and friendly staff. Best of all, none of the crazy Bruce B. Downs traffic to get here.

Started at 4 stars but the deli keeps failing to meet my expectations. Their customer service is atrocious and it is the 3rd time in a row with stale chicken tenders. Dont get me wrong, the rest of the departments are great which is why I gave the two stars. Publix chicken has always been a comfort food for me which is why I am so agitated with the situation.

This is the most convenient one for me, so Ive gotten to know the staff best here. Its the personal service that really sets Publix apart from other grocery chains, all over the country. Having entrances and exits on both Florida and Nebraska Avenues makes it so easy to get in and out of this location, and parking is always easy, even when its crowded.

Ive recently relocated to the Tampa area and so far I like publix. They run good BOGO sales that change weekly, but prices are a little high on some things. Had good service at the deli counter multiple times and the cashiers are usually pretty chatty and friendly. Always seem well stocked on carts and baskets.

The staff at this Publix are so friendly and helpful and the store is always clean which is very important to me. David, the bag boy at this store is always willing to go out of his way to assist us and always asks about my mother if she is not with me. He is truly an asset to this store.

Bright and clean store but, prices are getting out of hand considering the large number of competitors stores within 5 min drive. We are going to Public less often and buying 50% less than before on a typical visit. Publix Online coupon efforts are dismal failures.

The staff is always very helpful, pleasant, and kind. I love shopping at this Publix. I have never been a regular Publix shopper until recently, but this one makes you reconsider. There is always a large selection at this store as well. I love that fact!

Publix is definitely the best of the grocery stores in the south. They have the best produce and meats (quality) and their employees are usually excellent with providing service. The prices are a bit higher but its worth it for the better goods
