This is a discount shopping store, not The Fresh Market and not Publix, if you understand this walking in you wont have problems later. They have a great Asian section and the Latino/Caribbean choices are astonishing. The produce is ok, I prefer to get what I can at Ramona Flea Market. I love the house baked bread, just eat it fast or keep it in the fridge because it will mold fast from the lack of preservatives. After talking to a former employee who said stay away from the meat I decided to take his advice, its really poor quality and heavily doctored for appearance, however they have an excellent selection of sausages at unbeatable prices. $60 gets you a full shopping cart which is impossible to find elsewhere.

Well I wont be shopping there anymore. They used to have awesome prices on meat and seafood but now they are the same or higher than the much nicer grocery stores. There is no benifit to shopping at a low end store if the deals arent awesome. And their fruit and veggies wont last two days after you buy them. Ofter the fruit is already rotten in the store. Yet they still try to sell it. Ok today the prices on ground beef is $1.30 higher than anywhere else on the planet & $1.30 higher on chicken too. Im done with this ghetto fabulous grocery store. The seafood prices are outrageous too. Publix is cheeper and super clean without the nasty toothless people

THIS IS A LIGITIMATE COMPLAINT 7TH repost 5/15/15 - since march 2010 - that has been deleted without any notice to me** BEWARE!! I had a Rowes supermarket company printed raincheck for catfish for 1.99 a pound from January 2010. The owner berated an belittled me at the checkout counter by stating that he never sold it for that price. He would not honor it and would not give it back to me. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I WILL NEVER BUY/SHOP AT ANY ROWES SUPERMARKET EVER AGAIN

Not the friendliest of places, theyre kind of lacking in the customer service aspect of it. But I love coming here because of the large variety of international foods, ingredients, and snacks that I cant find anywhere else. And their prices are usually pretty good, just watch the circulars and keep an watchful eye at the registers because the programmed prices arent always correct.

I went in Rowes for the first time and I could tell they have a great selection. Vegetables, meat, and speciality canned items are this stores best attributes. I lucked out and got chicken breast for $.99 /lb because they were on sale. I found that certain items such as bread, tuna, and eggs are cheaper going to Save-A-Lot but Rowes has the best selection hands-down. ~John

This store is huge and has amazing prices. The only drawback is that it smells like an Asian fish market. That aside, the great prices and lack of completely insane people and blinding fluorescent lights (looking at you Walmart) makes it my ideal shopping spot.

Great prices and best meat selection in Jax. Best place to find Caribbean and South American food items. A lot more Asian food items now too. It gets pretty crazy and crowded on Saturdays and Sundays but they are friendly up front and get you out fast.

I love their prices, some of the best cuts of meet in town (though I question the origin). They have a massive ethnic variety, I go here for much of my Asian and Latin grocery needs. It does take some getting used to, this is not a publix.

MEH, not impressed. Some good prices but the uncleanliness keeps me away. I prefer to purchase my produce from the flea market just a 1/4 mile down the road. Better prices (which you can haggle) and fresher local produce.

I cant believe the huge selection of products. The store provides a selection of products from different cultures at affordable prices. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. This is now my favorite supermarket.

This grocery store is a no frills store but provide many items unique that is essential for providing exotic cuisine. The seafood and meat department is top notch and comparable to any stores selection.

Rowes have items from many different ethnicities. You can find Jamaican , Chinese, Latin items that you wont find in other stores. They also have a huge meat selection with fresh meats at great prices!

Prices for meat have gone way up. Disappointed about that but everything else has been pretty decent other than messes but thats just the people who go there. Shopping is very easy and quiet.

I have been shopping since out of work for 6 months for bargains and mostly Rowes Meat prices are the best aroung and quality is good. Other items are also reasonable and good values also.

Its true the meat prices are great however the service and basic knowledge of Rowes employees is lacking. I go for the meat only ask no questions and complete my shopping somewhere else!

Visit the deli and try their fresh hot foods. The potato rolls are amazing and youd be very far fetched to find anything close to as good elsewhere in this city.
