I went to Morningstar to see if I could get an unmarked ring stamped after getting it tested and confirmed that it was 18k gold. I googled on-line and found out a jeweler can stamp an unmarked ring once they confirm its authenticity. So I go to Morningstar and asked the guy at the front if they provide that service and he said no one does that and its considered fraud. Even the black police officer doing a detail said its illegal. So I asked can I get the ring tested at least and he advised me to go to the back and they will check it. As I was walking away he makes some comments to a customer and I hear them laughing at me. (Nice way to treat your customers bozo). Anyways, the guy in the back checked the ring and confirmed it was 18k but said they dont stamp but some jewelers do. I told him what the cop and the guy at the front said and he said its not illegal and some jewelers do hammer stamp marks once they confirm its real. He told me Jewelry Depot at Oakwood Plaza might do it. So I go to Jewelry Depot and I spoke with Lillian and she tested it and said not only can they stamp it, its completely legal. So there you have it. The smartass idiot at the front and the cop dont even know theyre laws and he works at a jewelry store? The cop should be embarrassed. LMAO! Oh wait I forgot Morningstars not a reputable jeweler. You guys deserve -5 stars. Update: After my last visit I decided to get some more rings tested and my 18k gold ruby ring polished and have them secure the stone better since it was coming loose. The last time I was here Lillian told me its $20 to polish and secure the stone. I get there today and this time she tells me its $25 to polish and $25 to secure the stone!? I told her what she quoted me last time and she just brushed it off and repeated the price. WTF is that? If youre gonna quote a price be consistent and clear instead of changing it day to day. Better yet, list the prices for each service on a board so its always the same in writing. On top of that I felt very rushed even though I had a few more questions on the stones on the rings that were being tested I just left.

A little over a month ago, I bought a engagement ring from a here, Jewelry depot. When I first started looking for a ring, I went to multiple brand name jewelry stores such as Key Jewelers, Jareds, Mayors, etc. At first, their rings looked like a great deal. The rings they were showing me were not certified though and the one´s that were certified were very pricey. I wanted a ring that had pretty good quality in all four C´s and to get that I would have had to go over my budget by half as much than I wanted to. After being unsatisfied with the brand stores, I start looking at rings that private jewelry stores were selling from Miami to West Palm Beach. I narrowed where I would by the ring for my now fiancé to Jewelry depot. One of the main reasons I narrowed my selection to this store was first, they offer quality customer care. Second, they have a variety of inventory from ring sizes and types to different styles of diamonds. And most importantly, they offered certified diamonds. What I liked most that no other store offered including the big brand name stores was instead of looking at the diamond through a magnifying glass or basic microscope, they had very advanced technology that allowed you to see the diamond and its engraving using a digital microscope that projected the diamond onto the computer screen. Also, they used an electric precious metal analyzer that told you right then and there what the percentage of the purities were. In the end, I was able to get a certified GIA ring with the same quality that a jewelry store like Mayors would have and it cost me half the price I would have paid anywhere else. And the Love of my life said Yes!!

Unsurpassed professionalism; solidly knowledgeable, fully accredited gemologists (diplomas on the walls); fairly priced services and a huge range of stock. Lillian is brilliant! Ted Bach and Leanne bring decades of experience as New York jewelers along with a full service staff that cannot be beat. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and there are no pressured sales. The store is beautiful, clean and organized. They have luxury brand watches and jewelry at remarkable prices. And they also sell loose stones. My engagement ring needed new prongs. Ted showed us the ring under high magnification so that we could see the damage; he removed the main stone, put it in a pouch and gave it to us. Before I took the stone back, they weighed the stone and examined it for inclusions. This was done because I requested an appraisal as well. I picked up my ring and appraisal a few hours later. The work was done flawlessly. My antique platinum setting never looked better. Ted and his staff have earned my business but only after they earned my trust. With everything that could go wrong in a transaction like this, theyd handled everything beautifully and they are beyond reproach. Do I have to say I highly recommend them? Ok. I highly recommend Ted Bach, Leanne and the entire staff at Jewelry Depot.

I purchased a $4,000.00 Engagement ring from here about two months ago. I was Happy "enough" to go back and get my ring there. That was my first mistake. I told the women at the counter that I saw a ring that I kinda liked but that I was flying to NYC to see my Moms Jeweler. I asked her if she could hold the ring for me? She said sure but I needed to leave a deposit. So when I went back a week later she said I could not have my deposit (That Was in cash) back, that I had to use it toward something in the store. So I decided to speak to the manager, I explained to him how I just had Spent $4,000.00 with him close to two months ago and that if he didnt return my $60.00 back I would never come back. He said than dont! Thats just bad business practice here I am within a two month time from spending countless hard earned dollars with this place and all there concerned about is $60.00 dollars. I dont reccommend this Sleezy Raquet to anyone... and advise all to go to a real Jeweler with morals. P.S. Everytime I walk in there one of there emloyees is always eating pasta and slurping it through their trap in the middle of the Sales Floor. "Discusting!"

My husband went there to sell/appraise a pair of diamond earrings to them. We had gotten them appraised before by 2 jewelers but they suggested that we shop around to someone else who sells diamonds to see what they say. My husband said as soon as he saw the man who appraises them he saw the jewelry he immediately said they were fake by looking at them. Mind you I had two jewelers say they were real and one of them actually used the electronic gun to test that they were real gold and real diamonds. Yet he said that the diamonds werent real and that the gold was only 10K which we got two places to tell us that the gold was 14kl. He only offered half the cash amount of what two other places offered. My husband was completely insulted. Of course he walked out to never return again. And now that this has happened I do remember that I took some scrap gold to them a year ago and they offered about $200 for everything, I then went to a jeweler in Miami Lakes/Hialeah and they offered us over $300 for everything. They rip you off like theyre a pawn shop, I suggest if youre going to sell gold there, this isnt the place.
