Okay so let me just say right off the bat NOT EVEN 24 HOURS LATER and im NEEDING to go back. From the minute i called the shop and told Allan my Tattoo ideas he was up for it . I was having a pretty rough day and know for a fact i was being a pain in the butt trying to decide where i wanted to place my tattoo. Seeing how hard of a time i was having he gave me the time i needed set up the station even mid way through shaving my tattoo spot i changed my mind and he was game for it . The place was clean , each guy was friendly caring and HONEST. Now for the art work , i could not have asked for a better tattoo, i came in with a cell phone picture of Beetlejuice and every detail in the photo is on my tattoo, from the green in his teeth to the suit its PERFECT. I appreciated the time he spent working on my leg even though it was getting late. My friend was also with me getting the other half of my Tattoo being Lydia from beetlejuice and both of out artist made sure there was ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE IN COLORS, together we made our one photo and the transition was seamless. I honestly couldnt have asked for a better shop and each artist is just as great as the next , you would be lucky to have any art work from these guys!!

I was very impressed with the place. I was referred here by a couple of people, but since I was getting my first tattoo done I was a bit skeptical. I am very nit-picky when it comes to art (which I think is acceptable since a tattoo is permanent), but Jeff was able to capture what I had in my mind on paper. He even went above and beyond to do extra research to make my vision a reality. The tattoo I had done was very sentimental to me and took me a couple of years to really know what I wanted (besides being underage haha). Jeff was able to not only capture the outer beauty of my lizard, but her inner beauty as well, and that is what really made my tattoo special. Thank you for making a permanent memory of my Chinese water dragon, Buddy. I will definitely be back for more!!

The Real AAA

You want a tattoo right? You want it done right, right? And you want it done by artists that are personable right? If this is what you are looking for, go to Vatican the staff is friendly and laid back all with incredible talent. Erik has done the majority of tattoos that I have on me. let me tell you if your new to this its hard to find this kind of talent and when you consider the reasonable price you will pay for something that will be on you forever Vatican is the place to go. If your reading this and dont consider Vatican and still choose to have a tattoo done because you found a shop or tattoo artist that you heard is cheaper you will remember this review in about 10 years when your paying triple for laser removal.

This place will not do you wrong. Researched all the tattoo places in the area and decided to check this one out. My mom was only in town for one day, so that was all the time we had to get a tattoo. We walked in with an idea of what we wanted but no specifics. Talked to Jeff and he helped us figure out the details and created two unique tattoos for us right then and there. We got our tattoos and loved them, which was reassuring since we were uncertain when we walked in. The parlor is clean, well maintained, and the artists are friendly, and most importantly not condescending. If you are in the area and dont know where to go, go to Vatican tattoo.

My family and I walked in spontaneously to get our first tattoos together, and two of the artist gave us attitude right off the bat. The artist with tattoos on his face refused to re draw roman numerals out of laziness and gave us attitude. Then Alan refused to do another family members tattoo after he already gave us his word the first day we came in. He also then tried to start a fight with my boyfriend because we were curious why he was so hot headed. Funny how when Jeff was around none of them had any problems with us though. This shop doesnt understand what customer service is. I would never recommend anyone to go there. Stay away!

Going to Allan Buhl for my tattoo was the best decision I ever made!! Not only did my tattoo come out AMAZING...but the whole experience was great as well. Allan did not get annoyed when I was being overly difficult & picky and went back and forth a million times with certain small details, instead he patiently worked with me until I figured out what I wanted. He was extremely professional & I couldnt of chosen a better artist to work with. He also stayed late for me since it took longer then expected. Basically, hes awesome!! This was the first piece on my arm and I will 100% be going back to Allan for the rest of my sleeve.

Getting your first tattoo is a big deal because it has to be perfect. Then again.. spring break happens to some people. haha Jeff and I came up with a design that mirrored the image I had drawn in my brain. ITS RAD!! The guys here are so awesome. Needles aside, I couldnt have felt more comfortable when getting my first 5 hours of ink. Its simply because the guys genuinely nice and enjoy creating custom art. Their walls are filled with fine art instead of flash..(there is some flash as well) and they have TVs with a library of classic movies!! Super sick work for VERY reasonable pricing. I only pray at Vatican Tattoo

Been coming to Vatican for about 3 years now,always an amazing experience. Jeff is one of the best around and has done my whole leg sleeve, Tyler is another amazing artist. Cant forget Allan, chyloe and Erik all also great artists. Clean shop, great atmosphere, work with you to design the tattoo that you want. And then theres Steve, he does piercings and is good at them as well, good guy, very informative about the piercings, basically go to this shop for all your tattoo or piercing needs

I stopped in to VT to chat a bout a few ideas I had about adding to a small arm tattoo I had. I met Allan who did a couple quick tracings, told me he would work off my ideas & have a design the next day...WOW... Allan did an awesome, professional & almost painless job. Everyone in this shop is great. There is great energy and of course, its clean & professional. I am already thinking about the next one. Allan & VT Studios are "THE BOMB".

we went in and spoke to Jeff to change/fix/revamp my wifes full back tattoo - he was really helpful in his advice - and so far has done a fantastic job on the first section - its completely revamped and for the first time my wife is really happy with the background effect he has managed to get using the old background - he really is incredibly skilled at what he does

i went searching for tattoo shops in the Fort Lauderdale Area and got a recommendation from my friend to go here. The whole entire shop is covered in various artwork and ive never gone to a tattoo shop with a theme before. The staff was all cool as hell and im coming back with my friend next week.
