I have been going to Karma for as long as I can remember. I moved to San Diego, Ca. 11 years ago and come back to Erie every summer for visits with my family and friends. On the top of my list is Gentle Josh @ KARMA. As SOON as I decide on my travel dates and book my ticket, I call Josh and schedule my tattoo time. Sometimes I tell him what I want and he has never failed to come up with something spectacular. Sometimes I mail him what I want, so he can tweak it. I trust Josh, his work and his tattooing integrity. I even told him once I would like him to design me one that said “My KARMA” and to sign his name however he wanted it. I LOVE it. I look forward every year to my trip to see my family and my Number One Tattoo Dude, Josh. I have sent dozens of my friends to Josh and I even took my step-mother to Josh for her first tattoo. As a matter of fact, several years back, I met my Idol, Pat Benatar, and I had gotten her autograph recently, so I had Josh tattoo her autograph around the bands “guitar pick” insignia I had him tattoo the prior year. The following year Josh tattooed Mick Mahan’s autograph around the pick as well. Josh has a picture of me with Pat Benatar and Neil with my “guitar pick” showing, in his studio. I soon hope to get Pat’s husband, Neil Spyder Geraldo’s autograph and Chris, the drummers. When I do this, I will make a special trip back to Erie, just to see Josh @ KARMA. He started it, he HAS to finish it. People ask me all the time where I get my work done, I tell them all…..KARMA in Erie, PA.

After being tattooed at various studios around the area and not feeling completely satisfied with customer service/quality/etc... I decided to give Karma Tattoo shot because Ive seen great work come from the guys. I was tattooed by Josh (the owner) for 3 different sittings (more than 3hrs long) on my half sleeve and couldnt be happier with the quality and friendliness I received from everyone at the shop. The prices I received were very good and never "over the top". I never felt awkward or uncomfortable during any moment because from the second I walked in they had a welcoming feel. They treated me with great respect. I love my work from Karma Tattoo studio and will continue to make them my "go-to" studio for tattoos in the erie area. Any artist there will do a great job on your future tattoo!

Karma Tattoo Studio offers a powerful line up of some of the most talented artists of this area. I only have to go to them with an idea and theyre able to put it to paper and then into skin exactly as I would envision it. Ive been going to Karma Tattoo Studio for several years now and will continue to go to them for any tattoo, large or small. The studio is clean, the atmosphere is friendly, and its operated in a professional manner. Their Customers are their primary concern and it is quite visible in all they do. Ive NEVER been disappointed in any way at Karma Tattoo Studio - and with something as permanent and particular as tattoos can be, that is tall order! Go see these folks!

Hands down the best tattoo parlor in town!! The place was very clean and inviting. Josh was super patient with my indecisiveness and made certain the design we came up with was perfect to my liking before we started. Josh was very professional and made my experience in whole a great one. Besides all that- the work he did was phenomenal! Pictures dont do the tattoo justice! So many people have complimented my tattoo and the talent Josh has for the work he did. If youre thinking about getting a tattoo I highly suggest you stop into Karma Tattoo- youll be glad you did! Karma #1 in my book...Recently went into Karma on a Sat afternoon, to talk and get ideas for a tattoo, was greeted as soon as I walked in and was talking to 2 artists within minutes. Gave them my idea and they ran with it. Had an apt. set up for the next day. Andy was my tattoo artist he very friendly and explained everything he did to a T. He showed me what he came up with and was better than expected. Would recommend this place to anyone. Prices are awesome and was expecting to pay more actually for the quality and work they did. Def going back for my next one.

My daughter and I wanted to get our first tattoos together. We found Gentle Josh on Google and texted him after reading reviews. He immediately responded, answered all of our questions and made an appointment. Upon arrival, he was so welcoming and pleasant. His shop is beautiful and comfortable. He was meticulous, very clean and confident in his ability. His talent knows no bounds and he made our first tattoo amazing. Hes a humble guy with a huge heart. I have had numerous tattoos done by a number of the artists at Karma. My latest was done by the owner Josh and the one before that was done by Andy. I walk in and give them my idea and then I let them fly with it and do their thing and put their twist on it. I have never been disappointed. The shop is clean and professional and everyone that works there is friendly and makes you feel at home. Thats the reason I keep going back. I have another one in mind already. You cant go wrong. Check them out. Youll be glad you did.

My sisters and I wanted to get matching tattoos. We found Josh and were very pleased that we did. He was able to fit us in when we wanted, which was so awesome. The shop was very clean. We had an incredible experience. My one sister had never gotten a tattoo and Josh was a good person to take her too. We were all very satisfied. I had orginally went to Midtown and given just an outline of a tattoo because the guy told me he was unable to put a design in it and had no other ideas for me. He also was super rude and overcharged me. If I didnt put a $50 deposit down I would have walked away. So I went to Karma and had Josh put the detail that I wanted. Im now in love with my tattoo! He is super friendly and talented!! Highly suggest!

My mom and I both planned to get tattoos. This was my first tattoo and he made it a great experience and my mom got a touch up that looks great. The atmosphere was very clean, comfortable and welcoming and over all made for a great experience. He is very skilled and confident. Love everything about the studio and Josh! The studio is clean, calm and inviting. Josh is so very polite and laid back. He instantly makes you feel calm and comfortable.
