Well if you know Keno Brothers Jewelers you should know me. I was the store Manager there for close to "5" years and became privy to "all" of there business practices, legal and illegal. I "retired" from the store on December 19th, 2015. After leaving due to my health & there illegal business practices I decided to contact the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Dept. Which I did. I spoke to Erica Chambers there who handles all the forms that pawn shops and gold buyers are "required" to fill out and forward a copy of each purchase they make to her at the Police Dept. This is done incase the property they buy is stolen. This also goes for watch purchases. After you buy the merchandise from the public and mail in the form you are required to hold the merchandise for 30 days before you sell or dispose of it. The only reason for not doing the forms would be to sell or melt the gold without the police even having the knowledge you purchased it. And to not hold it for the required waiting period. That way you could buy and sell stolen property with out police involvement. And this is the norm for Keno Brothers. They would only do a form on all sellers if they were black people, gay people, or if the seller looked as if they were poor. If the item was valuable, no form. The gold was sold on a weekly basis, sometimes twice a week, depending on if they bought a condo with the company money and drained the bank account or not. When I called Ms Chambers about there business practices it was before Christmas 2015. She was on vacation and got back to work January 04th, 2016. We spoke then. After apparently they found out I had notified the police I and my "legal" spouse were accused of theft by Bruce and Brian Keno. This accusation came after my retirement. I have since gotten our attorney "Allison Gilman" involved. This is only the beginning as I will be taking civil action against the store and each one of them individually very soon. What I stated above is also just a touch of the iceberg. They make a lot of cash sales, dont charge tax, and the money never makes it to the company bank account. They also pay Cary and Aisha Keno without doing 1099s on them and help them commit tax fraud. Cary Keno has been there over "5" years and never paid taxes. Can be proven by his paychecks he cashes that they wrote to him and went through there bank, "Wells Fargo". Even a self employed contractor must get a 1099. But not giving him one they are assisting him with tax evasion. The same applies for Aisha Keno. Whereas she takes cash from the safe rather than a check, along with extra cash that I witnessed daily. But everyone knows shes been working there 18 years or longer and never filed taxes on her wages. I had to insist to get my 1099, and my taxes were filed and paid yearly. The watch repairs, whatever you pay them, divide it in half, thats what they paid. The repairs are doubled, so they make a 100 percent profit. As for selling merchandise to them, they buy an engagement ring for $500.00, pull out the stone and sell it to the diamond buyer for $6,000.00 or more. Please beware. If your there friend you are in big trouble, because you trust them, they really rake them all over the coals. This is just a touch of what goes on there folks. They buy it for $100.00 and sell it to you for $4,000.00. The watches are even worse. Some of the jewelry they sell is stolen, hens forth they are buying and selling stolen property. Remember the forms they dont fill out. By now they are probably filling them out. But thats like no 1099s for Cary and Aisha Keno and doing forms now. They havent been done for the past years they were in business. So since all of this they have tried to discredit me and my spouse as we know all there business practices. But it will all come out in the wash. Because I have full intentions of seeing to it that every single person pays for there wrong doing, including people they enlisted to help them. I never got any commissions, or bonuses. I got only an hourly wage. No profit off of anything they did. Be careful.

People should research companies before purchasing an item, especially if it is an expensive purchase. I made the mistake of going to an aution to purchase a preowned Rolex watch. I had no former experience with this product. I won the auction, but little did I know I had been taken advantage of. I went to a very well known and established jewelry store only to find out that my purchase was not what I paid for. Fortunately, the jewler referred me to someone they felt would be 100% reliable and honest with me. I was told to see Bruce at Keno Brothers Jewelers. While speaking to Bruce, I felt comfortable telling him my story, and I knew he was genuinly concerned for the purchase mistake I had made. He spent as much time with me as I needed to make me realize that there was a problem. He could have easily put me off and spent time with another customer, but he wanted to give me the proper education so I would not make another mistake as I did again. After much aggravation and determination, I was finally granted a refund . If it had not been for Bruce, I would have never known I had purchased a counterfit product. You must have someone you can trust to inform you and lead you in the proper direction, and that is exactly what Keno Brothers Jewelers did for me. We are now working together to replace the counterfit product with something that will be worth what I pay for. I will always refer to Bruce before I do anything regarding jewelry. He is established in the community and will not tolerate anything that is not to his standards. When you need to get an appraisal done honestly, this is where you should go. Even if you do not purchase from Keno Brothers, you will always get a truthful opinion and feel confident in what you are told. I had a bad experience, but you do not have to go through what I did if you find the right people to lead you honestly. Bruce will tell you the honest truth whether you want to hear it or not. He will not tell you something you want to hear, but rather what his experience and professionalism needs you to know. I will never go anywhere else to get an honest opinion. Joe Ramputi

I had a very nice diamond that most people dont come across very often. It was 5.02 carats, a cushion cut diamond, set into a platinum ring. Ive had this in my family for a long time and it got to the point where I realized that no one was ever going to wear this. I have a son who will be ready for college next year and I was hoping this would cover his college costs (at least the first year). I saw one of those full page ads for some other company that buys jewelry. A big full page ad, so I assumed they would pay the most >>> WRONG! They did nothing but criticize my diamond and tried to get me to sell it cheap. I then visited several jewelers in South Florida. Fortunately, I ended up at Keno Brothers Jewelers (they are in Ft. Lauderdale). They were very patient as they examined my diamond ring in their microscope. They had not 1, not 2, but 3 GIA trained and certified diamond experts all evaluate my ring. Keno Bros. actually liked my diamond ring, graded it very high, and gave me a very, very good amount of money, it was way more than any of the others offered me. I was so pleased, that they paid me enough money to cover 3 years of my sons projected college expenses. So heres what I learned: if you have a big, nice diamond, at the very least go see an expert for an expert opinion. Keno Brothers got it done for me - - they have multiple experts with many years of experience.
