TERRIBLE EXPERENCE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH BLUEWATER BOOKS AND CHARTS. I sent a chip for a chart update last fall when we were done boating for the season and switching from a boat on Lake Superior to a boat on the Mississippi river. It took about a month to get the chip back in the mail. I wasn’t able to get the chip tested in our new boat on the Mississippi river until last week. When I tested it, the chart updates I ordered where not on the chip. When I called to ask what we should do, they told me to send them the chip so they can test it and fix the problem. I mailed them the chip a 2nd time. When they received the chip they called me and said there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. They said they didn’t know why the update didn’t work and they didn’t offer to try to update the chip again since it was after the 30-day warranty period. They refused to refund my money and refused to update the chip with the charts I ordered. Obliviously, they’re 30-day warranty doesn’t do any good for seasonal boaters wanting to do their update off season or boaters that are unable to test their work within 30-days.

This is my favorite marine store in Ft Lauderdale. They have everything you need for your vessel of any size. Staff is great and always very helpful when you are looking for a specific product. Always something cool to find at Bluewater!

Bluewater Books & Charts is a pretty amazing store, really. For anything you want to know about the ocean, the currents, the water depths, and the like, Bluewater has the maps, nautical charts, navigation points for anywhere in the world.

Charts, bridge tools, Navigation aids, Flags, they have it all or will get it to you and ship it out anywhere in the world. Great shop, friendly knowledgeable staff.

Moved to this location a while ago. Easy to get too. Employees like it better here. Found what we needed
