If comic shops are a labor of love, Tytan Comics is a Shakespearean sonnet that utterly redefines the concept as we understand it. Gone are the days of the portly, bearded gentleman sitting behind the counter, treating you with indifference so as not to be distracted from his taped off of TV collection of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes. In stark contrast, Tytans portly, bearded gentleman welcomes all comers with an earnest honesty, gleefully sharing his love of comics with his customers. Sure, their inventory may not be the largest, but who really needs massive stacks of long boxes filled with back issues nobody wants to read, anyhow? The shop is well organized with not only the comics themselves, but plenty of interesting and thematic toys, decorations, and assorted other doodads. Looking for something specific? Theyve got it, or they can get it. Not sure what youre looking for? Theyll help you figure it out. If youre over 18, you can stay for a tattoo or piercing. If youre over 21, theres a bar right next door. There is literally no reason to visit any other comic store in Bradenton. Since Tytan opened, Im not even sure if there ARE any other comic stores in Bradenton. Theres been no reason to look.

This was my first comic book store ever and I had no idea what I was looking for. I walked in, gave them the name of an author that I freaking love, and i was literally handed FOUR different comic books! I had no idea what I was looking at, so all of my questions were eagerly answered. Everyone -and I mean EVERYONE- in this shop is so nice, it will make your head spin. And in the back, theres a tattoo/piercing shop. So, get a comic book and get something inked. Sounds like a bitchin day to me.

I love this place! Awesome artists! Comic book store in the front so you browse and shop while your artist gets ready or while your friends get tattooed. The artists are very talented and Ty in the front knows everything about comic books and movies. He can help pick a good comic for any age. I would recommend this place. Visually it is great just to look around too!

Never before have I seen a tattoo parlor thats also a comics shop. These artists are fun, talented, and always make you feel welcome. They have a sorts of comics and are reasonably priced! They have collectibles as well as other comic related items and its always fun to go back in and see whats new!

Im giving the second star because this MIGHT be a good tattoo shop. This is by far the worst comic book store Ive ever visited. There was no sense of organization. ⅔ of the space was dedicated to the tattoo area. And the inventory was somehow simultaneously minuscule and chaotic.

Been looking for a few exclucive items for my Batman collection. Some they had, the rest they helped me find. These guys are awesome. Will always recommend and will always come back again. Treat the shop and people with respect and they might even work out a deal with you.

Im in the shop pretty much every week. Friendliest staff, super helpful, and if youre not sure what you want, theyll help you find it. Know what you want, but they dont have it? Theyll help you there too. Honestly, best comic book shop in the Tampa Bay Area.

I once saw Tytan Comics in a drunken knife fight with another (obviously infereror) comic book shop. It wasnt pretty but drunken knife fights hardly ever. Long story short, the other shop didnt make it but Tytan reigns supreme. All hail Tytan Comics.

Not only do they have a vast selection of comics, they have to order those that are not in stock. The employees keep me coming back with their superior customer service and genuine passion for comics and all things to superbly y geeky and magical.

Love the atmosphere at this shop. Always friendly staff and Ty knows his stuff. Pretty cool being that its a Comic and Tattoo shop too. I drive all the way from Venice just to go to this shop, but its always worth it.
