If your in the market for a top notch well made shoe, Red Wing is the place to go. If you want well trained staff who know their product, know how to size and fit a shoe properly and will go that extra mile, this Red Wing Shoes store in Newark, DE is your store. Mike the owner is a highly trained shoe professional. He knows the right questions to ask to be sure that the product you chose is really what you want. Once that is established, he will do his thing and properly fit you for trouble free shoes. His staff are equally courteous and knowledgeable. I have the worse feet around. I suffer from arthritis, and arch issues. Although I measure a medium, I fit in a wide. Mike was able to work with me and ensure my shoes fit perfectly. It didnt matter how many pair he had to bring out for me to try. He has a great sense of humor, and a knack for knowing his job. He went the extra mile for me with my shoes. I wanted the beautiful 8111 Iron Ranger. He had my size and color there and on my feet. I mentioned that I wished they came with eyelets all the way up instead of the top three being hooks. He said he could order them for me that way at no charge. He even held the ones I tried on in case the ones ordered were not to my satisfaction. If you want the best service from the nicest people, this Red Wing Store is the place. You may have to wait a little to get fitted. He was always busy and selling shoes when I came into the store and all his staff were busy with customers. They have comfortable leather chairs to relax in while you wait. Thanks Mike, your not angry, your dedicated to customer satisfaction, and proper fit of your high quality product. Who wants to pay $320 for a pair of shoes and have them not fit correctly? Then the store staff has to listen to that customer whining because they were too impatient to wait. 100 Thumbs up!

Im from Philly and been in the first state going on 2yrs. I was skeptical about going to the store in Newark Delaware because of the bad review. I went into the store with a sour taste in my mouth, and met Sue and Mike wow they were great. Sue walked through fire to make sure I got the best work boots for me and she wouldnt leave me until I got the best fit. Unfortunately my boot wasnt in Stock and Sue ordered it for free and had it sent to me home in a great timely fashion. Yesterday I got a call from the manager Mike, and today I got another call from corporate thanking me for my building. That is old fashioned customer service, this company sells great boots and has great service. So stop on in and see Sue and Mike and just remember you get what you pay for you cant put a price on happiness.

The owners, husband and wife, were angry people. Wouldnt let me ship a boot to my house because the didnt have my size in stock. According to them, they had to order two different sizes to the store to make sure and make me come back. The husband told me that shipping to my house to save me time is not the way they do business and he told me to go somewhere else if I dont like it. He told me that they had other customers even though I was in there for an hour while they struggled to figure out what size I was. I ended up ordering from the irishsetter/redwing website and got expedited shipping so it was here in 2 days, which is when I needed them. They fit great so apparently the way they do business is not good. Horrible customer service.

Great shopping experience. I was not only measured and fitted, but also shown other options. After the initial fit wasnt perfect a new pair of boots was ordered in for me. Ive already recommended and will continue to recommend this store for anyone interested in purchasing Redwing Boots

Hard core boots for my husband. Provide extra materials to help toe protection and water proofing of boots. They also offer resoling older boots.
