I have been meaning to write a review for a long time, I use Outdoor Sport Center for all my winter needs which are fairly large. Personally, I snowboard in some great spots. For example every year I go to Cordova AK to heliboard with the points north team. Every year there are a few guests that have gear issues, I am never one of them. The team at OSC get my board ready and on point, they also started selling Never Summer boards which in my view are the best. OSCs team really go out of their way, I bought the wrong bindings for my split board and they sent them back to manufacturer for me and got the right ones. The line up of brands they have is just amazing, you will not find a better selection anywhere. If youre looking for deals their tent sale at the end of the season is where I buy a lot of my non essential gear. They did a great job on my daughters gear, and the price for ski rentals is amazing. I do not see how they make money on it but i guess that is not my problem. The most important point i will make here is, you need your stuff to fit and feel comfortable, do NOT save 5% buying on the internet only to have you and your family not using the right gear and thus not enjoying your ski/boarding season.

Wonderful place! We go to Outdoor sports for our biking needs in summer and our ski needs in winter. Our bikes (growing family of them) are tuned here and our little kids have also bought their bikes here. For biking, I have depended on them for buying advice, fitting and tuning. The quality of work done on our bikes has been great! Their tune-up is second to none. I had my CAAD10 tuned their recently and it has never shifted better. I took this to Ride the Rockies and did not suffer any missed shifts or any mechanical issues. They are a true LBS. I had to ship my bike out through bikeflights and as we were not going to be home for pickup, they provided me with a location from which the bike would be picked up. While I was assembling my CAAD10, I went there to have my bottom bracket put-in as well as have my fork assembled. We rent skis from them for the season and have changed skis during the season to try out a different style. This is our local toy/fun store and we are truly lucky to be close to it.

Recently shopped here for ski boots. The gentleman who assisted me was very knowledgeable about proper fit and helped me find just-right boots for me, despite some challenges with fitting that have made rental boots feel like torture in the past! Ended up buying boots, an insert, two pairs of wool socks, a helmet, goggles, and poles, and having skis/bindings that I bought online mounted here. I could have bought some of these items at a lower price online, but you just cant beat the experience of having the guidance of someone who knows what theyre doing! BTW - no pressure sales experience, bought all that because I needed it and was grateful for the service. Last summer, I bought a new bike from the other side of the shop. Was similarly pleased with the customer service, and ended up paying less than I expected for a bike I have absolutely loved and that fits me perfectly. Prices are decent, not great, but the service is top-notch and well worth the margin they make in my opinion.

Ive been coming to this business on and off for 5 years. Although prices can be high and inventory sometimes in short supply, Ive had no complaints. I bring my MTB in for tuning before riding season and they always do a great job. Ive been in for bicycling tools and accessories and sometimes they have what Im looking for and sometimes not, but the mechanics and sales people in the bike shop are super helpful and informative. I just came back from having my skis sharpened and waxed and the tech did a great job stoning my alpine skis edges. They were ready when promised, and they even rushed it for me, squeezing it into this weeks batch so that I could ski this weekend. The price I paid was average and fair. They do tend to carry top of the line merchandise that tends to be more expensive, but the clientele is very demanding, and last seasons inventory is sold off at stiff discounts at the end of every season. I bought hiking boots a year ago at nearly 50% off. Hint, hint!

I bought my snowboard and bindings here last season, was really happy with the sales team. This time around I took the board in for a wax/tune. As to be expected I have been riding hard and the wax needed some work. I was advised that the basic service would get out all of my scratches. Went back a week later to pick it up, pointed out scratches and small chunks that were not filled and smoothed out. The response to this was "well you should have gotten the performance tune". Bit frustrating considering hey, I paid for a service and thats the best you can do, tell me I didnt pay enough so they wont do a good job? There was no offer to try to fix the bad spots, just more comments like "it doesnt affect the rideability of the board". No, the point of me paying someone to do this was to get it done right, if a business that offers a service doesnt do it right, then they dont deserve patronage. Fair and simple.

As a skier I have bought my last 2 sets of skis and boots here. I always shop around and look for deals online, but ultimately end up back at Outdoor Sports Center. Their prices are MUCH cheaper than other ski shops in the area and are competitive enough with online discounts sites. I have all my tuning and sharpening done here too, they do a decent job (as far as i can tell) and in a reasonable amount of time. The staff is super knowledgeable, some I recognize year over year and know I can trust them. They have always taken the time to properly size boots for me, even when Ive told them Im just looking and wouldnt be buying that day. The clothing is more expensive than online discount sites, but they have a great selection and its nice to be able to feel stuff and try it on before buying it. I would, and have, recommended Outdoor Sports Center to everyone.

Horrible. I spoke with one of the managers on a Thursday who said he would refund me and write me a check because I was given the wrong sized snowboard rental equipment. All seemed fine until my refund was mysteriously not there and that money was given to a former friend who scammed me out of my money by the following Sunday. The management is horrible and told me "the customer" that since he was not given the correct information by his colleague so I got screwed out my money. And this is customer service?? I do not recommend them at all to anyone. Also when I picked up the rental equipment I was left waiting for much longer than necessary as their communication skills are unprofessional. I waited for an hour longer than necessary. No discount given for the inconvenience! Stay away and you will be happy.
