I walked into bass pro shop to purchase a rifle. I already knew which rifle I wanted and asked the salesman if they had the rifle in stock which they did so I decided to buy it. My address was wrong on my Drivers license so I had to go to my truck to get my registration. I was gone no more than 2 minutes when I came back in I had to wait over 1.5 hours for help. I finally got frustrated and asked for a store manager, the store manager said he would help but when we got back to the gun counter he just asked the original salesman that was helping me to immediately help me. they ran the background check on me and told me to come back in 20-30 minutes and I would be able to speak with anyone behind the counter for immediate help since I had been waiting so long. I came back 40 minutes later and the salesman behind the counter was extremely rude he told me "go over to the ticket machine and take a ticket" I tried explaining that I had been waiting over 2 hours and that I already had a ticket that I pulled after I had been there for a hour. My ticket was number 50 and they where on 67 but the salesman just ignored me. Coincidently the store manager was walking by and he said "your still waiting?" which I said" I cant get anyone to help me!!!" the store manager finally helped out and got everything taken care of. When I went to pay the rude salesman took my money and just handed me a receipt I said "thank you" even though I shouldnt have said anything and he didnt even acknowledge me so I said "hey man I said thank you" so then he says "no problem". I had my 1 year old son with me this whole time, he was screaming because we had been there over 2.5 hours. I thought it would take 1 hour max since all I really should have waited for was a background check that takes 30 minutes. We had prepaid tickets to the Denver aquarium and my family missed out because bass pro shop took so long... wasted my familys night and 50 extra dollars of my money. If I didnt think it was going to be some long drawn out process Id probably return the rifle and buy it somewhere else on principal. I should have just walked out but thats my fault. I dont know if Ill be back to bass pro shop, they have a lot of cool stuff but customer service means a lot to me.

I went to Bass Pro shop on march 9th to check out some trophy mounts and price some ammo. Everybody seemed nice as I entered the store but soon as I went to look at the guns and ammo section, the help behind the counter was beyond lackluster. I seen some ammo behind the counter that I was interested in but nobody wanted to help me. The worker closest to me behind the counter was a bald, older man with the name of Dennis. Although he looked at me, he only offered me dirty looks and zero help. I am hispanic and think he had some kind of problem with that. I stood there for a little while longer and then just gave up for help. I was ready to spend over $200 in ammo and I left the store buying nothing because of this worker. It amazes me that Bass "Pro" would hire apparent racist people. Not only that, the looks he gave me were so bad I would consider it threatening. Why would they hire a threatening/dangerous man like that to work selling firearms? I will never go back to this store again because of this. I would suggest that nobody shop there because of this threatening and racist individual. If the store was smart enough they would terminate him before they have a law suit to deal with or something worse possibly.

My review goes out to the store atmosphere and service that I received. I have been looking for some different hot sauces to spice up my morning breakfast for quite sometime now. Its difficult to just order whatever novelty hot sauces I see online and expect greatness. My buddy had told me about the variety that Bass Pro had, so I decided to check it out. Right when you walk in to the right side of the store, there is a huge inventory of novelty hot sauces for sale. Now the big issue was, what do they taste like?? Obviously, most of us knew what Siracha tastes like, but I wanted some thing that would give me a kick and didnt taste like Franks Red Hot. Low and behold, Kimberly walks by like my savior. I asked her if shes ever tried any of the hot sauces, she politely told me no. However, she would allow me to open which ever one I needed to try them out before buying. I thought she was joking, but she was very serious. With the assistance from another associate, I tried three different bottles. I ended up finding one of my favorites, "Nucking Futs," which I highly recommend. This was all thanks to the great service that was provided to me. My new go-to hot sauce quarters. :-)

This store sucks, period. The only reason I say that is because of the return policy / process. I bought a pair of expensive hiking boots and the stiching failed. because it was just out of their warrany periord I have to deal with the manufacturer on my own. Screw that. LL Bean will take a return on anything for life!! Costco will take back electronics over a year later. Hell they will take back half eaten food. No one at Bass Pro even offered to help me with the return effort. In my mind, and in this economy, they should do whatever they can and that includes take my failed product, giving me a new on off the shelf, and deal with the manufacturer in the far off land themselves. God knows if I were in there doing the exchange I would spend a ton of money on other stuff, and their business would win. More over I would spread the good word about the no risk purchase and great customer service (like I do about Costco, LL Bean, Nordstroms, etc) Now, I will not spend another nickle there and I will tell everyone I know that they blow.. At the end of the day, you can buy the crap they sell from a thousand different stores. They need to EARN the customers business.

I bought a new ice fishing shelter on Friday and took it fishing on Saturday to discover that one of the support poles was not attached to the central hub. It was obviously a manufacturing defect. I took it back on Sunday to exchange it. I was told that there were no more of the model I purchased and that they were not expecting to get anymore in. I was told by a team leader that If I wanted to, I could buy the insulated version of what I had originally bought ($100 more) and we could come to an agreement on the price. So far, so good, but when I offered to meet halfway and pay an extra fifty if they took fifty off, he said that he would have to talk to a "white shirt" as he couldnt approve that much off. He returned and said that he actually couldnt give me any discount at all. I could buy the insulated version at full price or take a refund on the one I returned. I took the refund and went to Sportmans Warehouse and bought one there. I was extremely disappointed that Bass Pro wouldnt work with me to give me the insulated version at a fifty dollar discount as I have spent well over three thousand dollars there since they opened.
