I bring my father shopping at Big Y once or twice a week. The store is easy to navigate, clean, well little, has a Kosher foods section and the cashiers, baggers and managers know my dad by name. They always take time to talk and joke around with him. Speaking of Management, I always purchase a certain brand and two flavors of granola. I noticed they were running very low, luckily a manager was standing nearby. I told him how much I loved this product and asked if he could order more of my two favorites. The next week, the entire shelf was filled with my two faves as well as the others. That is one of the best examples of customer service Ive ever had in a supermarket. Go to Big Y in West Hartfords Bishops Corner. You will be quite pleased just as I am. They definitely go above and beyond for their customers.

This is a well run store - It has a good selection of fresh produce and meats. I am pleased with the staff who are very friendly and accommodating. They have been increasing their selection of organic and less processed foods to such an extent I no longer feel compelled to go to Whole Foods for produce. Reasonable selection of fresh whole grain breads from their bakery They also do a nice job of gamefication with silver and gold coins specials. If you shop there on a regular basis and do not have a silver shoppers card you are wasting money. I save an average of 15% ( 8- 22% per trip) by going for specials with the coins.

Everytime I go here Im reminded to sign up for Peapod. Consistent problems at check out and Im finally done. I have to shop with my 4 month old and have been offered help to my car once - but only after I wait 20 minutes in line for a 15 minute check out process (inspect every apple in the bag for a plu sticker and go through the computer before calling a manager while I try to calm my screaming child and the line of 7 people behind me starts getting mad) and, the best part, always expect to bag your own groceries. Ill be paying more to avoid this store in the future - whether that means delivery or driving further.

All told, not bad. Glad they are here. The gold coins dont come up as near as often as they used to though. Thanks Corporate. Sale price signs sometimes posted nearer to higher priced items. Digiorno pizza. Look close. The sign actually is for next item over. Produce manager: why no ripe avacados? Leave two boxes out in the back. This could be an easy fix. Other than that, a clean, efficient store.

I would like to say that Andrew in the meat department is the nicest young man who always takes care of us , so helpful , courteous, an bends over backwards to satisfy you, , we live on the other side of town but travel over there just for the meats an that special care Andrew he gives the people Rick

Clean. Wonderful quality veggies, cheeses, meats. Even those this grocery store is the farthest one in town, it is worth the extra time in the car! I found that the veggies and fruit stay fresher for longer in my fridge than when I buy them at the other local major supermarket...

I love this Big Y. They tend to be a little pricier than the other grocery stores around but I love their butchers counter and food counter (where they make pizzas). The pizza is yummy and the staff is great! Ive had them help me carry my things to my car. Wonderful store!

Nice, clean store. Big Y carries a large variety of fruits, vegetables and bakes goods. Prepared foods available, pizza, sandwiches and chicken among the many items available. They also have a Sushi bar and soup available.

Big y for why am I shopping here. Wal-Mart food for whole food prices. Workers are not particularly friendly. They have a weird rewards program that you have to buy in, and the discount brings the price down to normal levels.

It is a small store, going through its second renovation in the last few years. Not always an expansive selection (probably due to the smaller size of the store) BUT I go there a lot because they have some great sales.

Good quality fresh foods and a consistently positive customer experience. Not the lowest prices but worth the step up you pay for and much better value compared with whole foods. I shop here regularly.

Great place, nice people. Can usually find sale items, sometimes out of stock but always can get a raincheck. My favorite is the night staff. They are all great on the front end.

WORLD CLASS MY ASS. Senior citizens used to get 10% off Tuesday but they lowered it to 7% off and they DO NOT ADVERTISE it. So make sure all you seniors ASK for your discount:)

I go here mainly for the kosher meats. There is a great $10 off a $60 purchase Big Y coupon on Recyclebank. Always good bread sales. Cashiers are better than Shoprite.
