Stop and shop located on Broad St. in Meriden, CT went from a store that you once wanted to shop to an extremely dirty, smelly, understocked, all around gross establishment. The store went downhill after C-Town opened across town. Their organic/gluten free area is tiny, dirty and grossly understocked. The poor guy that works in the area tries his best, but is stuck listening to management, not what the customers truly want or need. The meat dept. smells of dried blood and very often, Ive had to return bad meat. The seafood dept. is the worst. There are flies in the case and by the smell, you know the fish is not fresh. Weve purchased from there more than once, only having to return seafood. When you can find an advertised item, its a rarity. You shouldnt advertise what youre not selling or dont even stock. The floors are sticky and to make matters worse, there is a smell throughout the store that you cant escape. The ONLY good part of the store is the pharmacy. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. They are there even for the smallest question. Lastly, the ladies room, no matter time of day, smells like a male urinal at a truck stop. Its gross with a capital G. All in all, if you want sugar or salt based products in a filthy environment, please, feel free to shop here. I wish I could leave negative stars. Someone please call the health inspector.

Dont come here if you are in a rush! The worlds slowest cashiers work here. There is no sense of urgency here. The cashiers take their sweet time ringing you out, the customer service desk always has a line a mile long too. Theres always some huge ordeal trying to check out, price comes up different at register- old lady paying with change- etc. And of course theres never enough registers open. The selection is great, but pricy.

They went above and beyond to help me when I was having problems signing up for the new digital coupons. I talked with their consumer affairs department and was told that my acct couldnt be updated for 24 hrs. The store then proceeded to give me all the digital coupons that I wanted to use & the free item that was being offered thats why theyre my favorite location.

Mitchell at the customer service desk was .,UNPROFESSIONAL,SMUG,JOKING, THOUGHT THE SITUATIO WAS FUNNY,& CALLED ME A LIAR, WHILE MANAGER GALETTI WAS PRESENT. HE WASNT SENSITIVE TO MY NEEDS. HE QUESTIONED MY CHARACTER, COUNTED THE DRAWER PLAYED THE VIDEO TO PROOVE SHE DIDNT GIVE ME MY $10.00 DOLLARS CHANGE

dislike it when they scream on the intercome..and the prices are way to high. Nolan at customer service is always nice to me. in the summer lots of flies by the deli...they are close to my house and thats why i use them. they dont have the varity big y has I always swear i wont return but I do...

Come here if you want lazy employees to repeatedly walk by you whilst you stand stranded at a broken self checkout. "Hang on a minute". Pfft. After being 30 minutes late to work over less than $10 of items I never set foot in this store again. Smh.
