The Big Y is the best supermarket option we have in Wallingford. So what that technically it is right over the town line in Meriden and can be a little pricier than the alternatives. This store is worth it. The meat section has fantastic deals you can catch and its always quality. Ground beef ground same day thats freshness you can certainly taste. Its hardly ever very busy. And the employees are friendly and actually seem like they might be enjoying themselves at work. Might sound crazy but that means something good is going on there.

I love this store with its friendly staff and great music! It is always clean and the prices are fine..some far less than the big box store down the road in Wallingford. At other stores I usually come out frustrated, but my weekly trip to Big Y is always a pleasure.

By far my favorite place to grocery shop in the area! They have a large variety of gluten free and organic all throughout the store, their fresh food always tastes better and lasts longer, and Ive rarely had an issue finding staff for help!

Beautiful, fresh produce. Store is always very clean and well stocked. We ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and it came out amazing! It was delicious, and I usually dont like cake haha. Everyone working in the store was very friendly!

This Big Y has one of the most responsive management teams in the chain (well except their night manager who literally pushed over my sick mom while on his phone). Great selection and food is always fresh and well maintained.
