There was one staff member in the aquatics department who was exceptionally knowledgeable about freshwater fish and aquatic plants. I asked for one plant, but they were out of stock and he was able to quickly tell me other plants they did have that were similar. He told me what algae eaters were compatible with planted tanks, which live-bearing fish were less likely to graze on plants, how tall plants would grow, compatibility with other fish etc. They have a great selection of fish, gravel, and other aquarium supplies, but they were rather pricey. The other staff member in the fish department ended up putting the fish in bags for me, and she dropped one of the fish on the ground...

I am not going yo shop at petsmart anymore I have 6 dogs and a cat and I did alot of shopping there but recently Itried to adopt a kitten from their rescue ROSEHOPE and she fought with me publicly I AM a responsible pet owner and I HAVE a persent VET always on hand and I groom all my dogs at petsmart and even had my cat groomed because there was a mixup with my cat records her and her assitant told me to my face I WASNT a responsible pet owner well Petsmart made alot of money on me well not anymore............

I love petsmart because it is very close to my home and always has good deals. But I am very upset about one aquatic pet associate. She made me feel belittled and made me feel like all my research I did was wrong for what I wanted for my tank. It put a damper on my journey to have an aquarium in my home because I felt like I couldnt do what I would have liked. So I go to petco for all my live fish.

HORRIBLE. The chief vet was super rude, agressive in her tone and demeanor upon meeting her after I requested to see her and on a power trip when I was asking questions regarding tx for my dog. Such a different experience from the last time I was there with a different chief vet who was kind, empathetic and inquiring of any questions I had.

They let u bring ur none aggresive pet inside with u while u shop. They do ask if ur animal pees or poops for u to clean it. But they are very friendly and love there jobs and u can see there love for animals. Luv petsmart waterbury
