I get a lot of attitude when ordering from the deli department for orders that I pick up around 8AM for company functions. The complaint after many purchases is still, "we dont get in that early" or "we have other things that we have to do in the mornings." Really? My company does quite a bit of business with them. Unfortunately, that may have to change. I can take my personal grocery shopping and purchases on behalf of my company elsewhere. 6/20/2016, update. So I just tried to place an order from the deli to pick up at 8AM tomorrow, and they said I cant pick up until 9AM now. Really, because your deli manager and the store general manager said the deli staff have to come in to accommodate the customer. I will be taking my business to another Stop & Shop where I dont get attitude, like BIG Y. Thanks for your snobbery Rocky Hill.

I purchased several gift cards at this store one being a 15$ Subway gift card. The cashier was talking and laughing with another cashier while entering my cards. When she was done I asked her if she was sure they were are all activated. She handed me the activation slip and said, yes they were. When my daughter tried to use the Subway card she was told in was not active. Unfortunately, I cannot locate the activiation slip ,only my debit card receipt showing the purchase. Stop & Shop will not activate the card without the slip. An email to subway resulted in the same result. I guess Im to blame for not taking better care of the slip but wouldnt you think they could look at my debit card receipt and see that I did make the purchase. Good customer service goes a long way.

Today I stopped in on my way home because i love the chicken salad, and decided to pick up a few other items I needed. Well after walking around trying to find someone to ask if there was any Lactaid whole milk in the back since there was none out, I saw someone coming out of the refrigerator area and asked him. His response was sooooo rude. You dont see no one on the floor to ask he said, I was a little taken back in his tone. I responded i didnt see any one. He walked over about 2 aisles and yelled at a young female employee who was shelving some items to help me. She came over only to tell me they were and had been out of that item for over a week.

12 items or less woman failed to return my card on two different occastions when I was in a hurry and did not notice until the next day and had to get two replacement cards. At times she also failed to take my card when presented to her and left me standing there holding the card in front of her while she ignored it. Same woman spent time on another occasion to stop sending items through so she could talk to her friends. Then she was phony enough at the end of her poor service to smile toward the camera and say have a nice day. If you are in a hurry avoid this store.

Will no longer be shopping here. The quality of their produce is spotty, prices are high, carts tend to be malfunctioning, too many displays blocking the aisles. Top it off with never having enough cashiers and the self checkouts are never fully functioning. Its impossible to get in and out of this place, find myself hating it more every time I go. I found another store, slightly further from me, but an overall MUCH nicer experience.

My brand new car was damaged in that mess of a parking lot by a wind blown shopping cart and Stop and Shop will not pay for the damage. My entire family and I have been shopping at Stop and Shop for decades and now I will never go back.

Will never shop there again. Every refrigerated item (there were several) I picked up was outdated by over a month. I warned those around me at the moment to watch the dates. Very disappointed.
