Ive shopped at Goldenberry for years and each time I go in I can count on replenishing the home goods I love and use regularly (teas, candles, chocolates, party napkins, dish towels) as well as find new and unique food and gift items. Lovely china, cards, ribbons, decorative touch pillows, table clothes, books, toys, baby items, and on and on. The specialty foods from Britain and other places are unlike anything I find stocked elsewhere. The ambiance is friendly and unpressured and the staff is knowledgable and efficient. I moved out of the area 3 years ago, but I make it my business to visit at least once a season to see the store and stock up! Especially fun in December at Holiday time.

From the moment you walk into this most lovely shop, you are surrounded by a beautiful home decor section, the softest and finest quality baby clothes and gift area, amazing specialty foods from other countries, everyday china that makes you want to always set your table and enjoy your meals in these beautiful pieces of art, and gifts for all occasions...and much more. What sets this store apart from all others is its superb customer service. Goldenberry has an amazing variety of beautiful gifts including food and pantry items to indulge yourself and anyone you may know! Goldenberrys European imports are a wonderful delight and include home décor as well as candy, tea, pictures, candles, table accoutrements (including poppers!) as well as beautiful handmade jewelry, shawls, silver frames and even clothing, toys and books for children. It really is a magical place and the staff is able to help you find the perfect gift or personal item for any festive or daily occasion. It truly is a must-see while in New Canaan.

Have been shopping at Goldenberry for 20 years with dear friend Ruth. The people are very friendly and helpful and their merchandise (gifts, jewelry, household items, decorations, cards, baby items) is top notch and changing with holidays and seasons. I rarely shop anywhere else. They have gifts for birthdays, Mothers Day, graduation, baby, as well as hostess gifts and a nice treat for yourself. My husband and I drive 85 miles from the Hartford area to shop at Goldenberry. He loves their cheeses and English sausages. Being in there is like a retreat.

Love this store! It has all of the things that you didnt know you needed. Great place for hostess gifts, thank you gifts, baby gifts, birthday gifts...gifts of any kind...the recipients will be thanking you for years! They also have a delicious assortment of cheeses and sausages. If you go there once this will be your new "go to" store for many of lifes events. The friendly staff always makes you feel welcome and are ready with suggestions. Give it a try.

I have ordered from Goldenberry via the internet several times and have always been super-pleased. Twice I had to pleasure of visiting the store: simply charming; high quality merchandise; wonderful personnel. I am not sure how this store made it to the 21st century that is filled with stores carrying shoddy merchandise and peopled by folks who dont understand customer service, but I am glad it did!
