Design Solutions is a delightful store with wonderful custom made items that entice you to take a look just to feel good. They carry superb merchandise in small quantities for every occasion. I walk in the boutique store often, sometimes once a week just to refresh my senses. I love looking at the furniture and creative lighting for sale always taking a look in Design Solutionss window as I walk by. They have the most delightful childrens handmade playthings with hand-painted greeting cards designed to give your family a smile during a special celebration. Adult greeting cards and gifts are painstakingly handmade as well. If I want a special greeting card I always go to Design Solutions finding something else special while there that I want to purchase. Colorful designer tables of every size contemporary chairs with multiple shelves of magical items designed with love for all ages and custom made furniture designed with the customer in mind grace this lovely store in the center of downtown New Canaan. The owner only buys top of the line items to showcase in her beautiful store. The feeling is warm clean and modern. Design Solutions is the most charming small boutique that I visit regularly with moderate pricing considering the handmade nature of their custom made merchandise. Its my favorite store for special artistic design and products just waiting for you to take them home. Highly recommended to everyone Design Solutions is the place to go for extraordinary home furnishings and whimsical handmade merchandise. One visit and youre sure to return a second time to this special place its absolutely amazing :-))

RUDE and CHEAP! I would leave zero stars if I could. Shortly after I walked into the store, the very rude sales person approached me asking me to leave my small (city mini GT) baby stroller outside the store and carry my baby. I thought to myself...you want me to WAKE UP my 6 WEEK OLD BABY and carry him around your store. As a first time mom, not only was I nervous about going out with my new baby but now Im being asked to wake up my baby and walk around the store with him!?!? The point of me going out was to make my baby sleep in the stroller. Also, do you know how much effort it takes to take a new baby out in terms of all the bags, diapers, wipes, bottles, etc? Lets not make it more difficult for new moms. Whats even crazier to me is that they allow DOGS to go into the store, but not babies. If youre going to tell me that its a size issue, thats bullshit. Also, Ive been to this store several times before and their stuff is very cheap. Horrible experience.
