Julian was my sales person. He is cool. Seems like the only one that wants to be outside to meet the customer. It was hot and he was the only one outside. We talked for a bit about what I was looking for then he brought a few cars up. The particular car I was interested in was on the lot but they didnt know where the keys were, so we couldnt test drive that. Found something else and while getting ready for the test drive Julian got a call from a customer that is stuck on the highway. So Julian set me up with the guy at the front desk (I think his name is Brian) and we went on a few test drives. Julian was gone for a few hours and I had to stay there and wait for him to get back. They asked me if Id like to go home and they would call me when Julian was back. So I went home for an hour. Got the call, went back to the dealer and he had two more cars ready for me to pick. Took one for a test drive and decided I wanted it. We went back inside and started the paperwork. Couldnt get the vehicle registered that late at night. They were going to let me take the car home with a dealer plate, but they didnt have any left. So I went home in the car I wanted to trade in. Went back the next day to finish up the paperwork, but they still had issues getting it registered. I signed an agreement for a temporary dealer plate (somehow overnight they got more) and they would get it registered the next day. So away I went with my new car. Dealer plate expires in a few days... it gets to the day when the plate was expiring and I still had not received a phone call that my car is registered. Drove down to the dealer, spoke with Mr Brown about the expiring dealer plate contract, and instead of writing a new contract he asks me to get my copy of the old one, and he proceeded to change the date on it to two weeks later... assuring me that it wont take two weeks to get the car registered. Thought it was a bit sketchy but I was in a rush to get to work, so I left with the "modified" dealer plate contract. Two weeks go by, no call. The dealer plate contract expires today. Went to the dealer met with the first person there and explained the situation. They got it resolved right away! Now my car is registered and dealer plate returned. It only took half a month for this "new" car to actually be mine...

We visited on 12/7 and were shown some cars by M. Sheehan. He would not give us prices, but when we picked a favorite, he went in the back, then came out and told us the car listed for $21,487, but he would sell it for $20,697. I had been browsing on my phone, and pointed out their own site listed the car for $18,000. He fumbled, and eventually Sal, who claimed to be a manager, came out and told us he had "no idea what was on the internet", followed by "those prices are dealer cost, not retail, by mistake." We told him this was not plausible (there were 3 cars at that price). By this time, the dealer was closing. As we were leaving, Sal told us he would sell us a different car, a step up, that we had also liked, for $19,993 (list $22,740). He wrote this on his sheet and showed it to me. Sheehan wrote it as well, at my request, and gave me the paper, telling us to think it over. We did, and went back 5 days later to test drive, and likely purchase, the second car. Sheehan helpfully went to get the keys, and Sal reappeared. He told us that the car was now $22,000, and that the $19,993 was a "Sat. night only price". We asked why, if that was true, he wrote it down and gave it to us as we were leaving on Sat. He could not provide an answer, though I noticed Sheehan shaking his head. We told him that condition had never been mentioned, which Sal denied, though he was looking at the dealer sheet with $19,993 written on it the entire time. The price was presented to us with explicit instructions to "think it over." With this reversal, we opted to leave, astonished at the blatant dishonesty of someone holding himself out to be a supervisor. We had planned to drive and purchase the car in a cash transaction that night, but were dumbfounded by Sals unprofessional behavior. On both visits, the sales process was fraught with patent falsehoods and intentional misinformation. Ultimately, it is Sheehan and the dealer who miss out on a sale, but the conduct and disregard of facts was insulting and shocking.

I went to county line with an offer from a different car dealership to give them a chance to win my business. I knew I had a good offer, but I wanted to test it just to make sure. When I walked into county line I was greeted, everyone was friendly, but when I told them the offer I got from the other place the salesman said he was unable to match that. Before I could leave, the managers jumped in to try and save the sale. In an effort to show me that the other places deal was too good to be true they "pulled a carfax report" only to be disappointed to see the car had a clean record. I overheard them saying "there is no way a car at this price could have a clean car fax". Instead of presenting me with the car fax they tried to tell me that the car fax couldnt be pulled up because there was something wrong with the title and that the vin number didnt match. Liars! They kept switching up the story. We knew they were lying and that we werent buying it - so they started to bad mouth the other dealer and falsely represented issues that we would experience if we actually went through with the deal. They tried to tell us that all they saw were negative reviews that the other dealer was "sketchy". We had already done a BBB check on the other dealer that had a 99% customer satisfaction score so we told them that. At this point they knew they werent getting our business and told us to be "wary". When we left - we did our own car fax and confirmed that it was very clean! I understand competition and trying to make a deal but it is bad business practice to bad mouth other businesses and lie to customers. If you cant match a good price, accept the loss. Better Way Auto is not "sketchy" at all in fact it was one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. Better Way did not need to bad mouth or lie to get my sale...they just knew they had a good car at a good deal...and thats all they needed....as it should be!!

Ive had good experiences with the service department. However make sure you do your research. This was the first time Ive gone to a dealership and financed a vehicle and that was fully taken advantage of. By the time I am done financing I will have paid over $24,000 for a car that was only worth $14,000 when I bought it. I really got taken to the cleaners here and I am disappointed that my inexperience in car buying and financing leas to this. I just didnt think I should beware of that behavior from a company that should want to protect its name and reputation. _____________________________________________________________________ To the response from the owner: Nobody has reached out to me, but thank you for posting my financial information on a public forum. Also, if you even read this, nowhere did i claim to have financed $14,000, i said when its all done, i will have paid nearly double the cost of the car, which with a $4500 down payment, will be $24,902.62 not including interest. I understand how basic financials work, there were many misleading and tricky hidden costs everywhere in the paperwork. Claiming things like Maintenance is covered with this warranty" but really its "extremely basic maintenance" which doesnt even include TIRE ROTATION! For anybody who makes it this far into the reviews, do not buy from these guys. They know how to take advantage of people who do not work in sales.
