I dont think Ive ever reviewed a market before. Then again, Ive never paid so much for groceries before, either. My boyfriend really hates this place and I always thought, Jeeze, theyre a grocery store they cant be that bad. So I went there for the first time last week and bought a few things I would at any other store and the total was a bit more than 100. They asked if I had a savings card but unfortunately I did not. He didnt mention where I could get it or even use their card to help me out like a bunch of other places would. Eh, I paid for it anyway and left. This week I needed a few things, I thought Id finally grab their card and give them another try. Still my total was more than 100 dollars. But this time I get a silly silver coin that doesnt fit anywhere. So yeah, not only is the price high, their store made products doesnt taste good. In this case, you might as well get actual brands. Also, maybe its a smaller store, but they dont have the variety like other grocery stores have. Its actually very disappointing. Well, they do have one thing thats good, which is convenience.

I am from Va, in the Virginia Beach area and this is the 1st time Ive been to a Big Y. It is like most super grocery stores.... but one thing is very different, they hot/cold deli food section... Mainly the area of the pizza and the stromboil all made to order fresh right there not pre made and mmmm good not to talk about the price I couldnt beat it with a stick I got a home made fresh made to order hot 3 stuffing items and that does not count the cheese! so that is 4 item covered is garlic..... and a free soda all for $ 5 bucks. :-)

Got a big sandwich from the deli, it was not properly wrapped and should have been sealed in a bag prior to handing it to me as a customer. Due to the exposure from not following proper food handling laws had to throw it out, I have been through proper training from a culinary school and I worked as a culinarian who understands the importance of food safety, I would think you as a store should know better then that. I will no longer be shopping there and will take my business elsewhere.

The entire staff is friendly aside from the prepared foods section. The women in the deli are very friendly and skilled. I highly approve of their efforts to hire and train mentally challenged individuals. However, you can buy any item cheaper at Stop n Shop besides ground coffee. The store also has an asinine policy that it will not give out prices over the phone. If you have the choice, dont shop here.

Top notch grocery chain, little pricy in produce , great meat options, great seafood, can even sit down for a quick bite they do fried scallops, fish and chips , I recommend highly. They have sushi bar, hot pizza, huge inside, fast lines , great staff, and even bottle redemption and coinstar @#1

Love this supermarket everyone is soo nice EXCEPT the lady that makes the pizza she has some chip on her shoulder !!!!!!!!i swear she tries to aggravate you !! JUST PLAIN NASTY!!!!!!!! you should quit your job if you hate it so much instead of takeing it out on the customers!!

Good quality fruits and vegetables but expensive. Meats and seafood are also very expensive. Cold cuts cheap but lower grade Pizza cheap but not good. Grinders are great for the price . Sometimes they have crazy sale when they triple the price then say buy one get two free.

Excellent Pizza, better than most pizza shops in the area if your ever having any problems ask for the Manager Susan... I had a minor issue in the pizza dept and she handled it less than one minute and called me back ! I believe in giving credit when credit is due !!!!!

A very clean, easy to navigate grocery store. The selection of most products is nice, though I wish there was more organic selection. Prices are inline with all other grocery stores in the area. Staff was friendly and helped direct me in the right direction.
