First off I’d like to comment on the first review. I can’t put any confidence in a review where the person won’t give their name. The review looks like it was written by a competitor trying to hurt the completion. Is the store small? Yes it is, but what is stocked is some of the best scuba equipment available. The small size lowers overhead and allows price savings to be passed along to customers. Personally I prefer a small shop where I’m not just another face, where my business is valued. As far as friendliness goes, John the proprietor, is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. The rest of the stall is always courteous and helpful; John wouldn’t have it any other way. As far as knowledge goes, John has been in scuba diving for over 30 years, teaching not only in New England, but also in the Caribbean and on Florida’s Gold Coast. John is a PADI Course Director. For those not yet familiar with diving, this is the person that trains other instructors. The certification is not bestowed by PADI on everyone. PADI Co-Founder John Cronin once observed, “PADI Course Directors are the crème de la crème.” Sound like someone who could answer your questions on diving? I think so. Actually, I know so. I’ve been associated with John for many years and I earned my Open water Scuba Instructor certification under his expert tutelage. Also noteworthy is that this small shop trains a LOT of people and offers dive travel to some of the best dive sites in the world. Check out their dive travel page and see for yourself. Amazed by the selection and amount of gear in the shop. They had all sizes and many different brands, styles and colors to choose from. The Staff there did a great job answering all of my questions and training me as a open water diver. The prices were better then what I found online and everything came with a warrentee. No need to shop anywhere else. John has a new customer and student for life!!

We have been a several trips put together by Enfield Scuba and have had great experiences each time. The shop has a very knowledgeable staff and I have never been disappointed with their gear or their service. I have been diving since 1970 and still learn a thing or two from them.
