Its just what you expect from Wal-Mart. Value. Noticeably lower prices than your local CVS. My Loreal hair color is 8 something at Wal-Mart and 11 something or 2 for 21 at CVS, which is still about 4 dollars more with quantity purchase. Savings like that add up fast. On the other hand its easy to fall prey to the cheap mentality and buy stuff because its a deal. Usually stuff I could go without. And since Wal-Mart brands are on the average of lower quality, I end up with more junk when I could have bought a quality item and forgone the feel good fluff. So when Im more disciplined, I save good money and dont buy deals unless I need it. I noticed an uptick in womens active wear. The danskin products are decent enough some actually equal to or better than pricier brands at mall specialty retailers. The danskin sport bras are one example. Generally I cant find better quality and price for basics, like cotton tees for 4.98 or cotton 60 poly 40 for 2.99. I only buy natural fibers, so this is a great deal savings for summer casual wear that generally lasts only a season or two no matter wear you buy it. I continue to be unimpressed by the pet care products, like dog treats, raw hide etc., which is as much as products from pet store retailers and more if you shop sales at the pet stores. Grocery and junk food are acceptable, and downright cheap at times, but generally Wal-Mart carries inferior food brands and name brands run about the same as anywhere else especially when you buy them on sale at other places I may actually pay less. Wal-Mart never has sale priced sparkling water, a staple of mine. So I can get that cheaper almost anywhere else. If i go to pick up home goods like curtains, window dressings, bathroom accessories, towels, shower curtains etc, I rarely find anything I really like, and if I do its not the same quality as at my preferred retailers where I can get better quality and price if Im shopping sales. All this said, I can forgo the slightly to substantially preferred product if its not that important to me, because the convenience of of one stop shopping is sometimes preferred and Wal-Mart offers a wide variety of products from paint, tools, clothes, yard and garden etc, in one place. Time savings is often more important to me than just noticeable differences between products I have to strategize around, like shopping several stores or waiting for deals. Convenience pays. Its all a trade off and unless its something special or specific Im seeking Ill choose to save time and money more often than not.

The worst ever. I bought an air mattress that didnt work and when I tried to return it they told the policy on air mattress only allows to exchange it for another with the or greater price. I didnt agree but follow the policy but them when I got the new one they open the box and cut the bag so it didnt look new. They told me thats the procedure because people has friends over for a couple of days and then return it. Thats not my case at all and I was treated as a criminal when I didnt do anything wrong but claim a not working item. The rest of the guys on the store are great but costumer service department manager and the associate that deal with me (curly hair girl) were horrible, rude and made feel pretty bad just for claiming my rights. I will keep shopping there bit I hope I dont have to return anything else. I dont feel like encountering those ladies again.

This WalMart is under renovation, which is bittersweet. I have been going to this store for years and knew it like the back of my hand. The completed sections look great, but I cant find anything as fast as I would like to. The staff seem frazzled during the renovation, and I often hear them complaining. I do eventually find a helpful staff member. The prices at WalMart never disappoint, they are always low as ever, and they have everything I need when I stop in. The 4 Star review I gave today is solely based on WalMart staffing flaws. They are notoriously underpaid and it shows in their work ethic (as a whole). The store itself is improving with renovations, and the items offered at low prices have not yet faltered.

Worst Wal-mart Ive ever been to! The managers are so rude its disgusting. Mostly this women name Trisha. She has no morals and no respect. Ive seen the way she treats people that work there and after going there with my daughter nd her girlfriend and the looks and rolling of the eyes she gave us as we walked in was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Hope the store manager, who seemed fairly nice will do something about this HUGE problem this lady has. Cant believe the horrible expirience I had over one employee! Will be going to waterburry instead from now on!

every time i go in here a lot of the staf not all is not helpfull some personel act like its there store and a just plain rude and obnoxious...... there is a select few in this store that actual care about customer service and taking care of the customer.... fyi a few personel behind customer service desk should not be in customer services, they need to be retrained, or go get a job that does not require them to speak to the public

If you want a slip and fall come to this store!!! Went here a few nights ago around 6 and theres exploded soda in the deli area shampoo smeared across the floor in pharmacy area and pasta sauce covering the floor in the pasta aisle. All the while employees are walking by these accidents and ignoring them oh and you when you start telling them theres several spills.

This is my favorite Walmart in CT. They have a good selection of products in the store and it is more open air than other Walmarts. I never feel uncomfortable in this Walmart which is sometimes the case in the more crowded Walmart stores like the one on the Berlin Turnpike. There are also far less people asking for donations at the door than other Walmart stores.

This place is ok, has all you will probably ever need in life but the customer service is usually under par, long lines, employees generally are lacking in knowledge as management wont teach them. Constantly have to wait for managers and even they dont know answers many times. Employees made fun of other customers, not a great shopping experience

Good variety and stock. Not a lot of help around but that seems to be typical Walmart. Very good plant/vegetable selection in the spring and quite a bit of garden stock all summer. Has some food items inside, the hardware department is kind of disorganized and confusing..

Most unprofessional and rudest customer service people I have ever encountered in my life they answer the phone rude ask you questions rude and cut you off in the middle of a sentence I dont know how they are allowed to work there being as rude as they are

Though recently remolded, the place is still small for a Walmart. The service there is terrible. The employees are not the lest bit helpful. If you can, go to the Bristol Walmart. Its bigger and Ive never had a problem with the employees!

Decent prices. The store is undergoing an update, which is probably overdue at this point. Store doesnt have a lot, but definitely more than Avon but less than torrington. They do have a good clearance section.
