The employees are mostly friendly but definitely arrogant about their work, the prices are a little high even for a specialty shop but are a viable solution if you cant wait for an amazon order to come in. They use some low business practices in order to make an extra buck so I would avoid them if you can, If you want to hear my story, read below When I came to have something as simple as a bike tire changed, they gave me a fair price and I agreed, then after they took all my info and were about to work on it, the employee said he had to go "ask the boss something" about 30 seconds later he informed me that because the wheel had a hub motor on it, it would be almost twice as expensive. The motor wasnt even wired to the bike so its an identical process to change the tire as a regular rim besides there being 1 extra washer when attaching the tire. He couldnt give me a reason as to what why the price increased so I ended up walking out and doing it myself, they were really just trying to shake me down for some extra money in the hope that I didnt understand how basic mechanics worked. I have no clue if the "boss" actually had the price raised or if it was just a shakedown, I would suggest other bike shops in the area as I have used most of them and never had something like this tried on me.

I work in a human services program. One of my clients recently received a donated bicycle to help him get back and forth to work at a new job. However, within the first week of using it, the tire went flat. I brought it to Bloomfield Bicycle and told the technician there that this client needed the bicycle for work, but he had only just started working and did not have the money for the repair. He said he would see what he could do and that he would get back to me later that day or tomorrow. Within a couple hours, I received a call from the owner informing me that he not only fixed the tire, but gave the bike a full tune-up, all on the house! Both my client and I are eternally grateful to Mike Wolf for helping out someone in need.

Thank you Mike and Rachel wolf at Bloomfield bike shop for equipping me with a new electric bike that enables me to ride, ride like the wind. I cant say enough about how kind and helpful and inspiring they were. Helping me to ride further and easier in all kinds of terrain.....keeping my knees working instead of hurting. Seeing new places and places I havent been able to get to for quite a while.....feels Really Good. Thanks again, Christine

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Found the perfect folding bike by Dahon, the Boardwalk S1. Its pricey but it is also high quality. The price is same as online and its fully assembled. They have a nice area outback to test drive the bike. Both Kevin and Rachel were very helpful.

Ive been to the shop several times now and Ive received nothing but the best service there. Everyone is highly knowledgeable and professional. Update: I brought the bike for a creaking noise and walked away with a clean bike, $280 bill and the creaking was back within the week.

Old school bike shop. They have what you need not necessarily what you want. Solid repair department. If you want an E-Bike they are the go to shop for central CT.
