I called to find out if they would be able to see my dog. The women on the phone was very pleasant and I explained briefly what was happening with my dog and was recommended to contact Planned pet-hood plus for this service. She checked to see if they could take me and give the OK to come in with my dog but I needed to be there before 2:30. I arrived at approximately 2:00 or a little before. This is were it stopped being pleasant. After driviing from Auora to wheat Ridge, I was told abruptly they would not be able to take me and I would have to come back another day. They had no knowledge I called. I already knew I would Have to wait to get in with the Doctor and was ok with it. I explained that I called prior and what I was told. They had No record of my call, my dogs name and they were not able to confirm they got the paperwork. Called my primary vet while there to confirm paperwoek was sent and it was. I was told I wont be able to get in before 4:00 and then she said 4:30 so you can leave and come back or wait and see if he has time. When I said I would wait she said you should just come back. At this point, I tried to explain what was happening with my dog and it might be importance time wise. She went on to tell me they are not an emergency hospital and they have people set appointments. she also said, " I can alway go back to my primary vet and I have that choice. I made that choice to go back, I cant comment on the care they give their customers pets but I can say, their customer service needs an overhaul. I want someone to be concerned about my dog and not just make them a number.

Pros: great prices and shot clinic on Saturday. Cons: customer service, wait with an appointment, wrong medication given. Ive taken my dog here three times over the last few years and Ive had mixed experiences. First visit was fantastic and reasonably priced. Second visit for a follow up to increase meds, I waited in the lobby for over an hour to see the vet; people that had appointments after me and two walk-ins were seen before my dog was. Third time was to pick up the increase in meds which apparently the doctor didnt note in my dogs chart, so it took me a week to get the meds filled and when I did they gave me the wrong prescription. My dog took anti seizure meds for her incontinence for five days before I realized the issue, my dog has never had a seizure in her life and the incontinence med is her only prescription. The apology was unacceptable and no compensation was offered for their screw up other than giving me the correct prescription. Watch your prescriptions from this place and be cautious with any procedures done. Im going to look elsewhere for anything other than basic vet services.

Compassionate, understanding vet. Unfortunately my 12 yr old friend passed, but the front office staff, as well as Dr Hutchinson, were allways extremely accomidating to my need for information during his care. This is a top notch vet office who helped my friend cross comfortably in the middle of personal chaos. I am disabled, and was able to afford the best care and some very expensive medicine, all of it, done within my means. There is no better vet office in Denver

Dr Jeff Young and staff are great and really do love all animals. Even though Dr Young couldnt save my baby cat Cisco from lymphoma, no other Vet was as willing or concerned enough to try. DAnn is truly the most helpful and carrying person on Dr Youngs staff. I can tell that DAnn, in the short time she knew our baby Cisco, loved and cared for him, very much. If you love your animal, this is where you need to take them. Thank You Dr Young and DAnn, you are the BEST!

Never. Again. My poor dog went there for 3, yes 3, luxating patella surgeries. They continued to want to do more surgery to fix her but I thankfully chose to go to VRCC, a specialist. She will never be the same and is worse than she first went in to Planned Pethood. She has so much scar tissue from the previous unsuccessful surgeries. Definitely worth going to a specialist for an orthopedic care, not them. My poor girl was put through months of pain for no reason.

Ive been taking my animals to Planned Pethood Plus for 5 years and they have been great! Their prices are reasonable and they post them on their website (something that few other vets do and the thing that brought me in in the first place), the vets and techs have been very friendly (for the most part), and our pets have received excellent care. I moved a year ago and now I willingly drive an hour just to go to Planned Pethood. I highly recommend them!

Definitely 1 star or less, they are very hard to get ahold of when trying to call, and when I received information back it was not at all what I needed. I have been trying to get in contact with them for about 3-4 days now and they are not answering the phone or email I sent them!
