The office staff and the doctor were friendly and professional enough however, it was a terrible purchasing experience. Ordered top of the line, progressive lenses that took two weeks to come in. They didnt work, no focus. The manager checked the lenses and they were ordered correctly based on what was in the computer. Had to wait for the doctor again where we discovered that the doctor had entered the prescription incorrectly in his computer. The doctor then reentered the script and we reordered the lenses. At this point Im being graceful and assuming anyone can make a mistake so lets go with it and remake the lenses. Two more weeks go by and the lenses are ready and the new lenses are not correct either (why? I dont know). No focus point at all in the reading area of the lenses, again. So, Im a month in to this and I ask for a refund, where Im told I am only able to be refunded 75% of my $900.00 lens purchase because it is considered a return. I never accepted or left the store with the lenses because they were defective, so how is this a return? Apparently it is their "return" policy on the back of the receipt. This was never pointed out to me at the point of purchase. Also, if a second remake of defective lenses is made, NO refund at all (I would hate to be that lucky guy). So, I took the 75% and now Im out over $200.00 for a defective product that I never took possession of. In my opinion, this is an unfair business practice and puts the burden of a defective product on the consumer. I cancelled all future appointments, will find a new eye doctor and will tell anyone who will listen not to go to Family Vision Center.

Weve gone to Family Vision Center a couple of years now, and were very happy with their services. Wait times for visits are generally pretty short, and its not hard to get an appointment. All the doctors and staff have always been friendly, patient, and helpful. Theyre good with both adults and kids. WRT contacts, theyve been uncommonly skilled with my husbands specialized contact lenses for his astigmatism. With previous eye doctors, weve always had to go back and forth a few times to get the lenses half-way right, but so far theyve been pretty good at getting the prescription spot-on the first time. WRT eyeglasses, weve had mixed but overall good experiences. With our daughter, they didnt try to push glasses on her before she truly needed them. Lens quality has always been excellent. They dont have the largest selection of frames, but they will write you a prescription so you can go elsewhere. We recently bought some glasses and were later disappointed in them (partly because we should have done more homework before picking frames), but they redid the glasses for us in another frame, charging us only the difference in the frame cost since we opted for a better-quality frame the second time around. We were extremely relieved that they had a policy in place for this sort of situation...

As a glasses/contacts wearer for the last 20 years and living all over the country, I feel I have gotten to experience quite a few optometrist practices. I will say that this was by far the best! All staff was friendly during appointment making, upon arrival, and throughout the process. I waited for less than 5 minutes upon arrival. Every step was explained thoroughly and quickly. Dr. Rob came in promptly afterward with knowledge of my chart/complaints. He asked questions regarding my eye health and daily practices and seemed genuinely interested in helping me understand the tests, my prescription, and eye health. He and the optician (Heather) both spent time with me to find the perfect contact and glasses prescription. Heather spent almost an hour with me listening to my desires for new frames and honestly helping me find the perfect ones. Never before have I gotten such a personalized experience picking out frames for me! And regarding pushiness, Heather only suggested the frames that looked best on me and were most comfortable which happened to be the cheaper ones. At no point did anyone make me feel like I needed to spend a lot of money. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks guys!

I took my 4 year old for an exam, and Dr. Loree was amazing with her! She was thorough, patient, and very informative about my daughters situation. The rest of the staff is amazing as well, and offer tons of knowledge and care when helping us pick the right glasses for an active 4 year old. Not only that, but when we had a problem, their optical manager Daniel came to the rescue and surprised us by taking care of my daughters broken glasses even though the issue we had was not covered by the warranty. I have told my whole family about them, and I plan on going to see them when I need my eye exam this year. Another plus, was they have an awesome selection of high quality glasses that fit every budget. That was a concern of mine by going to a smaller outfit, but I was surprised how little I had to pay for the quality of glasses we picked out. Thanks Family Vision Center!

I went in for my appointment and was not very impressed. For my eye check I kept telling the Optometrist that all I need my glasses for are close up reading on my computer. He ended up giving me a prescription that was for distance and close up, thankfully I realized this and didnt get the distance part (I got my eye glasses from another provider). I have 2 eye plans with the same provider. They charged 1 plan (with a copay) and not the other (without a copay). I paid the copay while I was there and then realizing that the wrong plan was charged went back that day and asked them to correct it. The refunded my card the copay but then a few days ago I received a bill. So now they are trying to charge me a copay when they said they would correct the insurance portion. I would not go back and as of today still to not have my correct insurance billed.

Not a good review. I was a patient with Family Vision for a long time. I received okay care and they did go out of their way to help me with eye trauma I suffered from an accident. HOWEVER, they charged me a $30 co-pay for EVERY visit from my accident even when I asked for some relief. This cost me $210.00 plus out-of-pocket! I have since switched to another eye care provider and they havent charged me one dime for 4 visits and their care is EXCELLENT! Also it took at least 3 appointments for them to get my contact prescription right which also charged a co-pay. And the quality of the contacts was not stellar either as they kept tearing. The glasses and lenses are overpriced too so I got my progressive lenses and frames elsewhere. They are way over priced for what you get!

When I noticed the $850+ price on the glasses when I was about to sign the order, the sales girl said, "You have insurance, its not like you have to pay for it." Appalling attitude. This is why insurance premiums are so high, because providers pad the prices on everything. Anti-consumer, anti-social attitude. Then, the glasses were manufactured incorrectly, I tried to resolve the situation, it took two months. The sales staff are arrogant, and when I wanted to talk to the Doctor about the problem, he acted like me and my business werent worth his time, saying, "this could have been handled by my staff." Prices are very high here, but the terrible service and lousy attitudes are why I will never go back. The doctor who runs this place does not respect his customers.
