I have been a customer of Clearsight for about five years now. I have spent well over two thousand dollars there on prescription glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses. For a long time, I had nothing but good to say about Clearsight. The optometrist there is very good, and my prescriptions have been great. I had been quite happy with the service there until my last two experiences, both very disappointing and both with the same individual who happens to be the manager. First, I brought back a pair of expensive glasses because they had developed a small crack around the frame. They replaced the lens without a problem. Less then a month later, the new lens started to develop a crack in the same place. I brought them in again and was told they wouldnt replace them because they werent under warranty. I explained that since the lens was less then a month old, it was obviously faulty. They gave me a very hard time about it, but eventually replaced the lens. The new lens then cracked shortly thereafter and I did not bother to go back because of the hassle I received the second time. Since then, I bought another pair of glasses there, a bad choice in hindsight. After wearing the glasses for a little while, I noticed a faint target-shaped pattern of tiny scratches on both lenses. The pattern is very uniform, and looks like it was caused by some type of machine or clamp used when shaping the lenses. You wouldnt notice it except that the scratch pattern creates a starburst effect in the right sunlight (around 3 pm each day). Rather than not wear them at 3 pm each day, I brought the glasses in and asked if they could call the manufacturer and find out what caused the scratches, and hopefully have the lenses fixed. It was a cloudy day and you couldnt really see the scratches without sunlight. The individual refused to call the manufacturer because he couldnt see the scratches, and didnt want to discuss it with the manufacturer unless he could see and describe the problem. He told me to come back on a sunny day. It was like he was trying to make it just difficult enough for me that I would drop it and just ignore the imperfection. When I asked him again to call the manufacturer and communicate what I had described to him, he steadfastly refused. He was about as unhelpful as he could have been. Needless to say I will not be going back. I was happy to pay their inflated prices in order to have service after the sale, but these two experiences have been very disappointing. My experience with everyone else there has always been positive, but given that the manager cant be bothered with providing anything resembling satisfactory service, I will advise anyone who asks to go somewhere else.

Clearsight Optical was also very highly recommended to me by five different people, all of whom have spent a great deal of money there over the years and I was very happy to go there and find such a huge selection of beautiful frames. I finally narrowed it down to one frame that I fell madly in love with. The young lady who was waiting on me was wonderful. Unfortunatley, the number of times I had to go back there immediately after getting the glasses to have the glasses fitted properly, she was not in. I had a gentleman who was rather sarcastic and not helpful. ONE of my problems was there was a scratch on the brand new lenses that apparently I was the only one who could see it. At any rate, after three trips back there, no one was interested in making me a happy customer. The owner was aware of the situation as well, and could have cared less. So sadly I did not get my frames I had fallen for, and more sadly for Clearsight Opticals, my five people who had recommended that I go there will no longer go there as they were disgusted by how I was treated. The story does have a happy ending, however. I found a fabulous pair of frames that Im crazy about (and getting tons of compliments on) at Costco, of all places. And as a bonus for all of my aggravation, they cost $267.00 less !! So, onwards and upwards......alls well that ends well...........

Customer for 28 years, almost all of my experiences have been good. They still cant remember my name even though I buy new glasses once a year and have an eye exam once a year. I like that its a family owned business and I get to see the same people in the family over the decades. These people are long time experts and know probably everything there is to know about what they are doing. I like the fact that they have the best frames available and are making the lenses in house. I also like being able to try on more high quality frames in one shot than in any other store in the county. These people have earned their stripes regardless of their attitude so I rely on their competence. Odds are they are likely to be there if you have a problem after the sale. I know I have been back many times to have my glasses adjusted after each sale.

Holy Doing The Impossible Batman! Landed in Ft Lauderdale for a week-long cruise on the Oasis of the Seas Royal Caribbean. At the Airport at 10:30am on 12/26/15. Brought the glasses case but forgot the glasses. Uberd over to Clearsight. They took the prescription from my sunglasses, picked out a pair of glasses, Uberd across town to get a tux shirt, Back to Clearsight about 1PM and picked up my new pair of glasses to see be able to see all the fabulous shows on the ship. Outstanding!

I took eyeglasses in to be tightened & they shattered my lens. When I took them back, they blamed the heat in my car over a long period of time (the shattered-ness was not there at all before I gave them to them) & would not take responsibility. Its very unfortunate and very sad that they wouldnt own up to wrecking my glass lenses. I would suggest finding another optical company.

Very professional and straightforward. I came in to repair a pair of designer frames for which I had lost an odd-sized screw. Marc was friendly and knowledgeable. He took the frames and gave me a time to return, then called me earlier than expected with confirmation they were fixed and ready free of charge. I will definitely return here next time I need eyewear.

Broke my glasses (frame) night before our cruise on Saturday. They were opened at 8:30 next morning. Three associates looked at their inventory for over 20 minutes to find a pair of frames to fit my lenses. Only took 15 minutes and I had a new pair and ready for the cruise. How lucky I was too find them. Great service!

Large selection of frames. I bought two. Had trouble with one but they never gave up and solved my issue after having to make the lenses three times because of my unique vision. They were very nice through the whole process. I will return, and highly recommend.

Always have an up to date selection. Ive been coming here for years, and they have more selection of high end frames than anywhere else in Broward. They have been there for decades. Always have had a positive experience with many pairs of glasses.
