Western Convenience stores are for the most part nice places to shop and get gas. However store management and location is everything for any business. The Western Convenience store at 1301 Wadsworth Blvd, unfortunately has become victim to both. Since the inclusion of a light rail stop next to it and poor management, this location has gone to the birds. It has become a meeting place for homeless people, drug addicts, criminals and the like. The front of the store is lined with predators looking for their next prey with management asleep at the wheel. Last week I was attacked by a thug in full view of staff and patrons and robbed of over $1,000 in merchandise and my wallet in plain view of over 15 people. I was unconscious and covered in blood but not one person including store employees offered assistance or called either the police or an ambulance for me. I went to the Lakewood Police Department and filed a report after first going back to speak with the stores manager. One of the employees who witnessed the attack the night before said she never contacted the police or called for medical assistance because I never asked her to. Who needs an invitation to call police when they witness a felon assault so vicious it renders the victim unconscious and unable to speak. If you find any of this hard to believe I full understand. I find it hard to believe myself and I was there. I write this review not with malice or a desire to cause Western Convenience a loss of business. I write it out of a core belief it is my duty to worn others of this danger that lurks. Next time you drive by this location after dark, look at the array of non customers lurking about in front, on the side and behind this business. Be careful and please think twice before you put your life at risk over a tank of gas. I am still recovering from my injuries and working with the diligent officers of the Lakewood Police Department to get justice. As for the Lakewood Police Department. They handled my complaint in the most professional manner. At a time when police officers and departments are under fire, I think it only appropriate to write about your positive experiences which I am sure way outweigh the negative. Thank You Lakewood Police for your handling of this matter, and no thank you Western Convenience Store for allowing an atmosphere of criminality to prevail on your property putting your patrons at risk.

Ive lived around the corner for about seven years now and always come into this store . Recently went in to buy a blunt wrap and I was asked for an id , I asked the lady to hold on and she must have not heard but yelled at me twice more to give her my id . After she yelled I threw it on the counter she asked her co worker if shes was allowed to take my id because it had been torn at the top and taped then she asked her co worker if the picture in the id was I even me , I yelled at her and said of course it was me . The next day my gf went in the same girl was there and just gave her attitude . A couple days later the co worker of hers said that we were kicked out of the store for yelling at her friend. But she continued to yell at us to "Get the f*** out of my store before I call the cops" . So we waited around for the cops and they told us to stay away when she is there . Its funny how we know about all 10 people that work there and only these two girls have a problem with us . I think one of the girls name is Rebecca she wears too much dark make up and has huge eyes like she is all doped up !!! Rudest girls Ive ever dealt with in this store ! Other than these two girls my visits there were always fine .

Blonde cashier was vocal and condescending. Womens restroom Out of Order. Mens restroom disgusting. Pee on seat, diarrhea splatter inside bowl, every surface not wiped or well-kept, floors dirty. Door did lock, soap provided, hand dryer worked.

I only gave them a one star because I couldnt give them zero stars. Brand new store and their bathroom is out of order? Really?! I refuse to trade with a company that treats another human in this manner!

Theres not a lot of places to grab food along the W-line and they know it. Prices are way to high.
