I felt it was pricey...$30 for a book reasoning its a1st edition!!! ie not signed just a 1st publication which most books are published only once!!. Looked more like profiting from locals or tourists who would be interested in those types of books related to Rocky Mountains, Colorado, Parks, etc. Majority of items u could buy new for a couple more bucks, but were well worn..hiking boots $30, bread maker $25 while other used stores sell at $6, etc... I thought it to b More of a second hand consignment guaranteed price with mostly useless well used goods, including underwear! rather than a true thrift store whose purpose is small profit or resell to benefit those who cannot afford much else. SOmewhere it stated it was to benefit local hospital but lets get real Estes Park has alot of money, many injuries, and besides what hospital and medical facility doesnt bank enough money from the public in insurance copays and so on...Disappointed.

The Estes Park Community Thrift Shop is fantastic. I love this place! It is well-organized and packed with great stuff including lots of brand name items. Loads of clothes for women, men, and children, a whole room full of books, good household and kitchen items, a special area for upscale things, and they even have a toy room for kids. Having shopped at thrift stores for the last 25 years, I think this is one of the very best in Colorado and the prices are completely reasonable. Plus, it is operated by volunteers and the proceeds go back to a wide variety of community organizations in Estes Park. I really like that. I ride the free trolley line to get there. They are located near Performance Park and theres plenty of parking if you drive. I always leave there feeling good -- Im giving something back to the local community either through my donations or my purchases AND I acquire some great things for me!

I wasnt able to do more than window shop even though they were supposed to be open another 10 minutes. The young lady in the store had already turned over the closed sign & locked the door. Which was really too bad because I was interested based on the merchandise in the window.

Great store, great philosophy! Donates all of its proceeds back to nonprofit organizations within the community of Estes. Saturday bag sale is an especially good deal!

Prices are far less than ARC, Salvation Army or Goodwill, and the quality is superior. ALL the proceeds benefit the local hospital.
