Prices far beyond the level of the inherent value of the item plus any subsequent customer service, which their policies have allowed them to completely wash their hands of. Cash only. No returns. You will never find anything not broken, ruined, or worthless on sale. Abhorrent voice recording loops over the intercom dictating to you about how you should clutch your purse tightly, and detain all nearby children at all times. It loops over and over at random times during your entire visit (seriously, did they talent search for someone with the bitchiest voice in all of Denver to record this?) Overall negative environment. Clientele are people that push and shove, reach in front of you, generally with limited civility (nothing here is cheap, why all the lowlifes here?) Intrusive signs everywhere make you feel like you are a criminal by default, and your are always being watched as a potential thief just because you walked through the door (helllooo, its used items, with low to no value, that you paid nothing for!?!?). The signs even say they will have the cashier arrested if they so much as mention discounting an item price! Hate to break it to you, but nothing you have is worth some grand theft scheme. That said, the whole focus of the store environment seems to anti-theft, while extracting maximum dollar from every dirty piece of trash from people who may not know better, along with NOTHING in the way of welcoming or friendly environment. Cash only policy (clever, no chargebacks when you sell someone a broken piece of junk for 10 times its value!) Prices are much higher than the many nearby welcoming, competing thrift stores that ACCEPT RETURNS and MODERN METHODS OF PAYMENT. Whoever runs it has some kind of paranoia problem. It doesnt feel charitable. The place feels scummy. You will likely leave this place with a confused frown. I can only take it once every few months, and I always leave feeling strangely annoyed.

Anytime I need a very specific item this is where I look. Their selection is huge. Which is why I give it 3 stars. Prices are a bit high, usually feels like if you go shopping at Ross. It is cash only which now a days can be a bit inconvenient if youre used to credit card. They have I think one bathroom but youre better off not using it unless you dont mind the "security" guard they usually have standing right out outside. Altho it is packed most of the time, early in the morning around 9am to 10:30am is not so bad. The one thing I do HATE is their costumer service/employees. Maybe they deal with a lot of rude people but I am not one of them. So I would hope they would be a little nicer. A simple smile. Instead I am constantly interrupted by one of them trying to get through;because I the costumer am in their way. They always reach over my shoulder to place stuff EXACTLY where Im looking. I understand they need to arrange items but I wish they would have common sense and wait or place it near me not over me!

Oh, boy. Both times Ive been here its been PACKED, both with items and with customers. It feels a little disorganized because nothing is separated by size. The shoes for instance are separated by color but not size so if you arent looking for something specific you have to look through all of them for anything to fit. The clothes arent separated by color or size, just into categories like shirts, pants, dresses, etc. You can find some great bargains here if you are not scared of people crowding you, playing bumper cars with your shopping cart, and willing to dig through rack after rack for whatever you are looking for. They have different color tags and some will be half off some days. Also they only take cash no cards. They have an ATM but you will pay at least a couple dollars to use it.

Finally checked out Mile High Thrift today! Like other reviewers said, be willing to pay a decent price on their items. Many of the tops I liked were at least $7.95, a little to steep for me at a thrift joint. I can find similar tops at the Goodwill Outlet for cents so I didnt end up buying anything. However, I did like that they had a big selection, but the fact that you could not return anything was a bit of a disappointment, and no fitting rooms! Ahhhh, so you cant try it AND you cant return it 0_o. I will probably go back though since they had a HUGE selection of clothes, I just might have to bring my measuring tape along in case there is something I cant live without!

I bought a bunch of items. Nothing special and a little high for a thrift store. When I got home I found out a pair of shoes I bought that had 3.99 on the bottom were $40 on my receipt. I called to figure out why and they said the girl at the register shouldve explained that they were $40. Because it was half price day they said I shouldve got 50% off but since I went outside they wont refund me. Terrible. I dont understand why they would write 3.99 on the bottom if theyre $39.95. If you go there be very careful to check your receipt.

I have been going to this place for a long time - lately they have rasing their prices to a point where i could buy it in a store. Last weekend we bought a $29.95 cedar wood chest - lovely piece - the cashier rang us up and we paid cash for it - she gaves us a receipt for it that said paid. The furniture guy that was supposed to help us looked at the ticket and said: how much did you pay for this? we said $29.95 and he said oh no it is a $179.... they wouldnt let us have the cedar wood chest. very disappointing to say the least.....

Crazy people! Avoid at all costs! Psychotic crazy people here on a consistant basis. They will push you and your kids out of the way to get what they want. No common sense or respect. Witnessed a full on fight one day, another day someone stole something and ran out the door, another day a kid was almost kidnapped! Watch your purse, valuables, and kids is constantly played on the intercom on English and spanish. The bathroom doesnt work and is incredibly disgusting. Do not shop here! It is hazardous.

Customer service is pretty bad. everywhere you go, people working there are watching you like you are a thief!! WT*? I didnt even feel comfortable looking around to shop, they were staring! And it was my first time visiting! Prices are too high also..you can find same items cheaper brand new! Wasted my time there..toys are all prebagged 5-10 in a bag that you cant take apart if you only want a specific toy...you have to get the whole bag of unwanted toys for just one! Skip this place...go to Arc

This store is UNETHICAL. Whenever it posts the SALE ( 50% off all color except xxx color ), the store will RE- LABEL almost everything to the except xxx color. I see employees take them in front of customer, bring to the back of store to change the label color then bring them back to the shelves. This practice is surely UNETHICAL. I dont know is it illegal ??? I will try to contact this charity organization head quarter to complain.
