Under the recommendation of several friends I went to see Tiffany at Bound by Design to get my prince albert piercing. When I came in to get the piercing the person at the front desk was very polite/professional and the atmosphere was not threatening/intimidated at all. This was my first piercing and despite being in business casual attire with no visible tattoos, I was treated like a friend of the shop. I told them I wanted to see Tiffany and she quickly came out to discuss what I wanted. I knew I wanted a thicker ring so I said I wanted an 8 gauge piercing. I was impressed when she explained that it would probably cause less bleeding/discomfort if she pierced it at a 10-gauge and then immediately stretched it to an 8 before putting in the jewelry. I trusted her experience/judgment with this and gave her the go-ahead to start setting up the room. I filled out some short paper-work and paid for the piercing and before long she called me back to a large room with a table in the middle. It felt very similar to a doctors office and she took the time to talk me through everything first before having me disrobe and get on the table. Her personality/bedside manner was top-notch and you can immediately tell shes an expert at her profession. She also identified a lot of the problems that have come up during her time as a piercer and gave me a lot of suggestions to make the experience/aftercare as quick and painless as possible. It wasnt long until I was the happy owner of a new 8-gauge prince albert piercing. The pain was very minimal, she was quick like a ninja with the needle. Afterward she thoroughly went over aftercare and made sure I was feeling alright before I left. It definitely felt like she cared about my wellbeing, which can be rare in body-mod people. Tiffany will definitely be my go-to person for any future plans around my piercing and/or any new ones that I may get. If youre considering getting something done and are on the fence about what shop/piercer to go to... definitely go to Bound by Design and ask for Tiffany.

Tried to get my friend set up for her first tattoo as part of her bachelorette gift last weekend. But it was difficult. Of the three times I called, I spoke to three different people who all gave me different info. More importantly, they absolutely refused to discuss available appointments for the night I needed, because they required a walk in for the appointment. Ridiculous but I complied. When I showed up, they were rolling their eyes at me and demanding a $100 deposit (even tho the first time I called it was a $60 deposit... Hmmm.) and claimed that a three inch long black tat would cost more than $100, since it was complicated and needed to be drawn. Ridiculous and unprofessional. It was a simple and straightforward tattoo. I left and instead went to a shop down the street. Took me five minutes to set an appointment with them, the guy was super nice and professional and flexible on the deposit... And I myself will be going there soon for my own tat! Which shop, you ask? Lifetime Tattoos! Ed, Matt, both were great to me. Check them out before Bound By Design. I highly recommend them.

I went to get my first tattoo at Bound By Design and was obviously nervous. The design I drew was impossible to execute in such a tiny space so alterations were made to it, which was fine. When I got into the room I was talking with my boyfriend trying to decide what colors I wanted where and Jeremy, my artist, proceeded to tell me to be quiet because he went to college and knows color theory and knows what he was doing. He was rude and abrasive and super unprofessional the entire time he was doing the tattoo. He then added color to parts that I wanted in black and white, which now I am unhappy with and I am going to have changed when its healed. Finally, when I left he gave me no after care instructions AT ALL, not even how long to leave the bandage on. He is a talented artist and the tattoo he gave me is well done but it was not what I discussed with him and now I will go spend more money somewhere else to have it altered to how I wanted it. Super disappointed.

I just recently moved here and decided to get a few new piercings and buy some jewelry. I read a few online reviews and decided that Bound by Design sounded like the best bet. First thing i noticed was how nice and clean the shop was. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Jennifer helped me locate some certain rings i was looking for, and Tiffany spoke with me about the piercings i was wanting to have done. There were a few different options on how to do them and the size, and all were explained very thoroughly. The actual piercing couldnt have gone smoother. She was very quick and precise, and any pain of the piercing was kept to an absolute minimum. I was extremely impressed with everything about the shop, and anytime i have anything else done it will definitely be at Bound by Design. They also have a very nice website showing the work of the different artists in the shop if you want to get an idea of how talented they are.

Bound by Design is very clean, very helpful and knowledgeable. Tiffany was fantastic. I felt like I was in a doctors office. She opened up all the tools from brand new packaging, wore gloves, etc. She helped calm my nerves and the piercing was painless. Tiffany then provided me with a sheet of information on how to take care of the piercing, going over every step and marking the most important parts. She told me to come back in after a few weeks to get my nose ring adjusted. After a few days I decided I didnt like the placement (my fault, not hers - hint to all, get a fake one and figure out where you want the piercing beforehand). I thought I would be SOL, but she told me to come back in so she could remove the ring and to come back when this heals to get another one...for no extra charge as they guarantee all their piercings. I am siked that I chose Bound By Design!

I went in for a consultation for a tattoo and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had! The employee... or possibly intern I was assigned was RUDE. Because I am a young woman, he felt the need to speak with me as though I was a toddler and was unbelievably awful! He did not answer my questions, and he had ME hold up a white piece of PAPER with my design on it in front of a mirror, with my friend holding another mirror- while he ignored us both. He did not even offer to assist, and did not offer to temporarily place the tattoo on me!! It was obvious he either had A) No clue what he was doing or B) Did not want to work on me. Needless to say I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I went elsewhere to have my ink done. No other employees stepped in to intervene and many witnessed the way he treated me. Overall horrible experience.
