I have only used them as a garden shop (i.e., not as a florist) and they are quite pricey; they have far outpaced the prices of older neighborhood establishments and larger garden stores but with less selection. They are a small store so limited selection is expected but they had limited selection even for their size. Given the ratio of actual plants to plant-related home decor I would probably not even call this a garden place even though they frequently self-advertise as such on facebook. The woman who was there when I first went in was knowledgeable, very nice, and an overall delight to talk to. Unfortunately, that did not change the fact that I came in to buy 4 pots and 2 bulb packs but could only afford 1 of each (P.S. the bulbs were the same brand as Paulino but $2 more). The bulbs were not priced on the shelf so dont assume plants are the regional standard and make sure you ask before paying! While plant markup is high but not obscene, decor (including pot) costs are Pottery Barn level. Same stuff at Babylon (on 17th) is 1/2 the price and Target is 1/3. I recently saw they were replying when people asked online for help with their vegetable gardens so I thought maybe started plants with the 15% discount would be better. There were more options than my previous visit but selection was still limited. The variety seemed to be in subtypes of plants-lots of herbs, tomatoes, and peppers, a few types of flowers, and a smattering of this and that but not a lot of choices outside the above groups. In a pinch, if I only needed 1 or 2 plants, or if I was rich Bella Calla would be fine, but I would not recommend shopping here for larger gardenscapes. Note: I WOULD try them as a florist or suggest a friend try them. I was the only one in the shop on my first visit and through talking to the woman working got some good tips and information on cutting flowers from my garden. They dont know how to run a garden shop that caters to the aggregate of the neighborhood but they do know flowers. And their floral prices seem to be more on par with other local florists. TL;DR If you want shopping for plants to be a Cherry Creek boutique experience this is it. If you want a florist this might also be it. If you want to see an awesome mural this is definitely it.

I had really high hopes for this florist. She was recommended to me by a couple of other people that I trusted and after seeing the reviews and pictures of their work, I was very excited and totally comfortable with choosing them for my wedding. I was wrong do so. I gave this florist a necklace that belonged to my best friend that passed away to be incorporated in my bouquet. I was very clear that this necklace was important. On the day of the wedding, I went to pick up my bouquet at the florist, which wasnt ready yet so I waited in the lobby about 10 minutes. One of the assistants (female, didnt get her name) then came out and handed me my bouquet without a word. When I looked, I noticed that much of my friends necklace was missing. I told the assistant this and she denied it. After I insisted a couple of times (which I should NOT have had to do in the first place), she finally went to the back to ask the florist, Lilli Black. The assistant came back and said that Lilli told her that "it just broke" and continued to make excuses, even after I reiterated the importance of the necklace. When I asked why I was just now finding out the necklace had been broken, on my wedding day, she informed me that it had just happened, presumably while I was waiting in the lobby. This necklace was very important to me, obviously, and was borrowed from my friends mother. I became very upset and cried while trying to tell the assistant this fact. The assistant was very rude, straight-faced, and showed zero remorse or compassion. I was never ONCE apologized to. I was never ONCE spoken to by Lilli Black. To say that this was the worst experience of my wedding is an understatement of gigantic proportions. I am still extremely upset. That necklace was irreplaceable. I will NEVER use this florist again and I hope none of you use them either, especially if it requires you to entrust them with anything special to you. If I could give zero stars for this review, I would.

Ive always heard that a wedding day cant be perfect; the band plays the wrong music, a guest drinks too much, the toasts take too long, etc. Well, I can honestly say that my wedding day was perfect, and that everything went off without a hitch thanks to Lillis help. I first found Lilli during my search for a florist. Her flowers were beautiful--her artistry superb--but it was her work ethic that was most impressive. I hired her on-the-spot as both my florist and day-of-coordinator, and I can say with conviction that it was the best decision that I made for the wedding. Lilli began her coordination services a month before the wedding, organizing a timeline for our ceremony/reception, as well as a master list of all of our vendors. She also worked out all vendor related kinks, and ensured that all vendors were on the same page. In short, Lilli made the month before the wedding a breeze, saving me--a Grad student going through finals--so much headache. Now during the wedding Lilli (and her assistant florist) really shined. Throughout the night Lilli was the liaison between myself and the other vendors, ensuring that no one bothered me or the wedding party with last minute questions or concerns. Her assistant was also kind enough to run to a grocery store during the reception to buy me something to settle my stomach. The flowers were impeccable: they were fresh, fragrant, and incredibly lustrous. The floral arrangements (which Lilli had sketched out for me) were more beautiful than I could have imagined. In all, Lilli and her assistant ran the show discreetly and seamlessly, helping my wedding be the perfect day I had not thought possible! If you are in the market for both a florist and a planner, I urge you to sit down with Lilli. Her work ethic and beautiful flowers certainly sell themselves, but I would like this review to serve as a personal endorsement from a very happy bride. Thanks for everything Lilli!

AMAZING experience, from start to finish! Before consulting, and ultimately hiring Bella Calla for our wedding, I knew nothing about flowers. I knew I wanted them, and that was about it. Upon meeting with Lilli at Bella Calla, she helped me create the ultimate vision I wanted. I put all my trust in her and it certainly paid off. Never once, did she dismiss my request to use unconditional materials in the bouquets and centerpieces, in fact, she welcomed the challenge. Lilli always communicated with me throughout the process, and even answered questions and offered advice on matters that weren’t even floral related. Bella Call also has rentals, so we were able to rent the Chuppah through her as well. Our ceremony and reception was at an art gallery, and Bella Calla really impressed us with their creative designs. The men had their boutonnieres made out of paper (music sheet music, since they are all musicians) and there was wire incorporated into my bouquet for a more industrial feel. I highly recommend Bella Calla for any event that requires centerpieces, flowers, etc. Lilli and her staff were 100% professional and reliable from day one. Even if the ideas of flowers and decorations intimidate you, give them a call, and she will walk though the process with you. Thank you Bella Calla!!!
