Short version: Bridal Elegance promised me my dress would be in four weeks before my wedding, then it turned into five days before my wedding, MAYBE. They did the same thing to a friend of mine. Details: I ordered my dress through Bridal Elegance and was told by the consultant that it would be in the first of May. I was a little concerned (my wedding date is May 27) and asked to put a rush order on it (Id rather have it way too early than too late). She told me it would be fine without rushing it and the dress would certainly be here by the first of May. I asked at least twice about rush shipping and each time she said the same thing. A dear friend of mine got married a few weeks ago. She also ordered her dress through Bridal Elegance and was told it would be here a month before her wedding so she could get it altered before she left town for the wedding. Around a month before her wedding, they told her the dress was lost, and no one (not the store, not the manufacturer) knew where it was for around three weeks. She finally got the dress three or four days before the ceremony and had to forgo breathing through the ceremony, the out-of-town reception, and the in-town reception because she had no time to get it altered. When I knew heard this information, I felt nervous and called to check the delivery status. She said it "was still right on schedule" to be delivered May 21 (giving me a grand total of 5 days to have it altered, and like Lisa below, they pressured me into ordering a size too big). When I told her that wouldnt work for me, she said she would call the company and then call me back. 25 hours later, when I called to ask again, a different consultant told me that the dress was in CHINA and it would take them a few days to return the call! I later found out the May 21 was the approximate SHIP date, not the DELIVERY date. This whole time, I felt like they were reading me a script, as though this happens to them all the time. After a lot more fuss, and arguing with the shop, who were clearly in the wrong, they finally offered me either a dress two sizes too big and $100 knocked off the price by the date they originally promised (for some reason, China was able to be reached by phone the same day this time, instead of taking a week like before), or my deposit back. I told them I had no more trust in them and I wanted my deposit back. They have said that this is not their fault and that I signed a contract that agreed they had no responsibility for delivery date. What I DID sign was a return policy, which she offered me and pressured me to sign without reading it when none of my party was with me. They also wouldnt give me a copy of this "contract." I still fail to see how this is not their fault when it was verbally promised to me and I was denied the option to make it a rush order. Not only is it their fault but its bad business practice.

I meant to post a review several months ago, but time slipped away from me. Last year I popped into a couple of bridal stores and was totally disgusted with the way they treated customers. At one, they wouldnt even let me look at their wedding gowns on clearance, much less try any on, without making an appointment first!! Pretty much the same thing at another store. I am a "down to earth" gal, and began to think that every bridal store in town would be filled with snooty and arrogant sales people! I am 58 years old; I was getting married for the second time in my life, but having the first "real wedding" of my life to the most wonderful man in the world! I had no desire to spend a fortune on a dress I would wear ONCE! When I walked into Bridal Elegance, they made me feel really special and welcomed me to try on whatever I wanted right then and there, even though the store was going to close in less than an hour. I found the perfect gown on the clearance rack, for a perfectly reasonable price, and it was a near-perfect fit!! Sherrie did a fabulous job with the minor alterations, and I couldnt have been a happier customer!! I wish I could post a picture from our wedding for all to see!! In my opinion, Bridal Elegance is the ONLY place to go for your special gown!!!!

My consultant Be is definitely the best thing to ever happen to this place. She was helpful, realistic, unpretentious, and so...much...fun. She is the reason I am giving this place five stars because she made my experience so awesome. She even gave me a bunch of ideas for my bridesmaids, tuxes, and even on making a tutu for my dog. (Yeah, Im one of those.) As it turned out, I didnt end up buying a dress here. I tried on a whole bunch that I didnt really care for, and then they brought me this AMAZING dress that I loved. Unfortunately, I looked at the price tag, and it was almost twice my budget. *facepalm* I dont actually think it was Be who picked this one out, because I know she wouldnt have put me in a dress I could not afford. She went to bat wheeling and dealing with her manager for me, but ultimately I had to walk away because I could not spend $1200 on a dress. FYI, they DO have a selection of dresses for under $600, but youll have much more fun here if youve got $1000+ burning a hole in your pocket.

I came here on accident. I was looking for a dress in Denver (because I had just moved from there and was not sure about Colorado Springs yet). I walked in and was instantly helped by a wonderful associate. I had found a dress online that I liked and had brought in pictures. The sales associate asked me to tell him about the kind of dress I saw myself in for my ceremony, and then he ran in back and grabbed a dress that was nothing like the pictures I had brought in, it was PERFECT. It was my dress. It came in a month early and fit perfect in the frame. It was too long (Im very short) so it needed to be hemmed. My final fitting is next weekend and I am so excited. Sherrie is a fantastic seamstress and I cant wait to put this dress on. I bought the dress, the slip, a veil and a hair accesory and paid for alternations and it was still far under what I would have paid for the dress I found in Denver and looked so much better. The service was great and I cant wait to wear my dress. It was a great experience.

Service there was AMAZING, but the seamstress was another story. Granted, she was pretty busy, but I completely felt like I was a sheep just being herded through when it came to my alterations. She didnt really listen to what I wanted, and she didnt even alter or bustle the dress correctly. She left the hem too long, so I had to pin it up before the dancing started. The bustle looked AWFUL. It was completely the wrong bustle for the dress that I bought, but she didnt even bother asking me what my opinion was before she decided how it would be bustled. I had to hurry and take it to another woman in Denver who took a look at it and fixed it as best as we could. Its such a shame - I had such a GORGEOUS dress, but what she did with it made it look a lot less "nice." The store in general is pretty good, though. Their service is what really impressed me the most. Buy the dress there but PLEASE for Heavens sake take it somewhere else for alterations!!!
