They are the largest hardware store in town, and there when absolutely necessary, but ultimately I try to avoid going there if I can. The store is typically dirty, disorganized, and items for sale are often left lying around or are damaged and open. Be sure to check what you are buying and make sure it is still intact before leaving. Staff help is definitely a mixed bag, some are able to answer questions, but more often than not they act like responding to a question is a hardship for them. This is their work right? Prices are often too high. Its cheaper to order most items on Amazon even with shipping cost. If I need local, Id rather drive 25 minutes to Lowes in West Sacramento.

Sadly, I like HD and I like the very nice helpful people that work here. But my experience (and i go here a lot) extremely frustrated. The stocking is extremely poor. The store always looks stocked but they will always be out of the popular stuff necessary for the job. This includes common hardware and very common plumbing and electrical parts, etc. The computer tells them that they have it so it is not ordered. In fact, they do not have it and you will always wait a week or two for it to come in, only to have it fly of the shelf. And you are out of luck again. This has been a problem at this store from day one. Terrible inventory stocking.

Tried to purchase a lawn mower. Company falsely advertised their return policy. Assistant Manager would not honor return policy as stated online and confirmed by 2 employees. Went to Lowes next day. Found a mower (better quality and lower price). Extremely helpful and kind employees. Will shop at Lowes from now on instead of Home Depot.

Terrible service. Bought flooring from Home Depot and scheduled to have it installed. During every turn something went wrong. Our order was delayed, then it did not arrive, then they couldnt get it scheduled, once they did the installers were not notified and showed up very late. Will never go here again.

Home Depot has the largest inventory at the best prices in Woodland. Management is always willing to help. Could be better staffed, as any big box type store, but I have met some very well informed sales associates when shopping there,,,

All and all it was a good experience. Lady at the front directed me to the right area to find what I was looking for. RAT POISON and they had lots of it... Now it time to kill these damn rats. .. fun times!!!

In for what I needed & right out. I was asked by 2 seperate assistants if I needed help finding anything. I checked myself out and was out of there in 15 minutes. Awesome!

Better off going to Ace. Second time over 20 minutes trying to hunt someone down and getting no help, no acknowledgment. They wont miss my business.
