This Whole Foods isnt a grocery store; its a religious experience! More accurately, its a high-end gourmet shop with wonderful treats in every aisle. It was also my first visit. I went there with a list, since I was looking for a few hard-to-find ingredients, and was pleased to discover many other enticements along the way. Theyve got it all: Mexican spices, Persian cucumbers, purple barley; rarities you cant even name. At a busy hour, the staff at the Seafood counter still helped to explain some options, and a Produce stocker told me about fresh herbs. This is the biggest Whole Foods Ive seen in LA, and staffed by informed individuals who clearly take pride in what they contribute to the place. Since others on this site complained about prices, I made some mental notes, because I knew that most items on my list were available elsewhere. And you know what? The prices are not inflated at Whole Foods. Lemons cost 50 cents here and 50 cents at Ralphs two blocks away. Yes, youll pay for the special stuff, but you cant find the special stuff elsewhere. The prices at Whole Foods are the cost of real organic, healthy food. My only reservation, and this is minor: everything looks so green and crispy because the place is freezing! Bring a sweater when you shop at Whole Foods! Im sure Ill be back soon.

This Whole Foods is fun to shop in. I can be really cranky, and when I get here I cheer up. The produce is fresh and not pricey. The berries are sweet and juicy, unlike the sour things you get at many other stores. Im getting spoiled by their barbecued chicken, although this item is somewhat expensive. However, it saves the day when Im too tired to cook, so Ill buy my peace. Wine could be bought elsewhere more reasonably. The delicious meat is expensive, but fresh and sourced from small, local ranches such as Nieman Ranch. Its strictly a treat to buy it on my budget. The many desserts are a bit rich not only for my purse but for my body, so they are infrequently bought as the treat they should be. They are better than most bakeries. The bread is very reasonably priced. I dont buy bread anywhere else any more. The cheerful, fun atmosphere of the store is great, unlike the gulag atmosphere at many places where the employees seem cowed and/or sullen. The employees are allowed to be themselves, which results in far better communication and service. Recommended fully if you can pay for it, but if not you wont go broke on fresh fruit and vegetables. My dad was a butcher who always said, "Pay your grocer or pay your doctor." I couldnt agree more.

One of the biggest Whole Foods Ive been to. Staff are unfriendly and not knowledgeable about products. Give you 30 seconds attention then tell you they dont know and thats it. More than anything, the staff act as if they really dont care about their job. They also do not do custom juice so had to order one of their own recipes. For the juice on the menu that I ordered they were out of parsley, which they wouldnt or couldnt get from the produce department so I had to go buy it as a separate item to be juiced. They said theyd only do it if I could rush and get the parsley back to the juice area before they finished my juice. They wouldnt do it if I couldnt get back in time (pick up parsley in produce department, pay, and run back to juice area. All the time extremely unfriendly and couldnt give a hoot about the fact that they were not stocked with "parsley" and I had to pay extra for a bunch of parsley for a $12 juice. Its the Worst Whole Foods Market Ive ever been to.

This is the most affected and rude Whole Foods in the area. Its not the staff. Its not the products. Its the patrons. If you want someone in a Prius to almost run you over to get a parking spot and then cut you off when you are walking to the checkout line then come here. As a native its very sad what this area has become and this store is the manifestation of everything that is awful in Venice. Nobody will say, "excuse me", smile, or be kind to you in any way. Its like a strange death match with size zero yoga moms and 26 waist, 62" hipster dudes that want to make sure you know how much better they are than you. Pardon me if I sound bitter. I may be. It happens. I just avoid this location whenever possible. Im super happy to have spent my life in this area and wish that others would appreciate it as well. If youre that miserable perhaps you should get out of my local Whole Foods and go back to your hometown.

Fornitissimo.

This Whole Foods location is my favorite because it consistently keeps in stock the best of all possible scones: Rockenwagner Bakerys ginger scone. Aside from that gem, this is the largest Whole Foods I know about on the West Side, so expect every possible healthy and allergen-free foodstuff you could dream up. A great selection of prepared foods and a long kitchen bar supply plenty of ready-to-eat goodies. A pleasant seating area indoors provides cozy spots for twos and threes; larger groups will want to find room at the plentiful tables outside. Plenty of parking, but it gets crowded; drive carefully as the lanes are quite narrow, or grab a spot on the street.

The deli.... If for no other reason... The food is awsome... They have soup in the seafood department.. Gumbos and such.... A man meat station in the beer bar where they have cooked ribs and sausages. A mochi bar with gelato... A pizza station with huge slices of pizza.. Juice bar. A mexican food station which sells "steak fries" and tater tots. PLUS all the regular stations that a normal deli has! The hot and cold food bars. Including a vegan hot food bar and Indian food bar. A desert bar. Numerous olive bars. The bulk cookies are my favorite... And the German pretzels.

Went into Whole Foods last Saturday with my 13lb dog to use the bathroom first then get some soap. I was racially profiled by not one but 3 security officers. First of all I dont fit the sterotype of a thief. But I am black, so what I figure is that the Management has given them directions to follow all black customers through the store. If fact, a senior AA women told me that they do the same thing to her all the time. I am glad that Amazon is buying all of them. Maybe they can change the climate of who black shoppers are treated.

bad experience twice. I did not check the price label and was charged for steak for chicken drumstick. Brought them back to Whole Foods and the management said the meat counter could not have made such mistake, and told me example of other clients who tried to cheat them. So they are indirectly claiming I am trying to cheat them. Yesterday I purchase turkey and found out I got a bag full of ground meat with lots of fat. While I was there, they had to change a price tag for me because they had charge me for the wrong type of ribs.
