I wanted to get a very detailed tattoo, all words and very small letters on my arm. I called in and the shop recommended Justin Jakus. 100% pleased with the result, and actually surprised at how well it turned out. I wouldnt change anything if I could. Justin has crazy skill...I have never seen a tattoo with so many small letters come out so well. Super clean and detailed. And the font is sick. It takes up almost the whole front side of my forearm with 10 lines of words..so pretty big tat comprised of many small letters..he gave me a great price..unbeatable. Thank you Justin! Have gotten many compliments. Im in Colorado right now and somebody here told me they were going to go to LA to see Justin for a tattoo idea he has based on seeing the ink on my arm. If I ever want another tattoo, Im going to Justin Jakus. All the tattoo artists here are amazing too, they get the best of the best artists. They really care and treat you well. Just go into the shop and tell them what you want and theyll work with you to select the artist and perfect the design. If you want some ink, you should go here.

I saw Sophie-- she is there only once or twice a month to microblade eyebrows. Shes from the UK and in the last 5 years, has had thousands of clients. Shes amazing. I researched 8 different places to have my eyebrows microbladed in LA or in Chino Hills, and of all of the 8, Sophie did the best with blonde eyebrows (seen on her Instagram: thebrowdoctors) and she had the best price. She charged me $350 for the initial visit and a free 6-week touch-up, when most places started at $400 and charge another $50 for the 6-week touch-up. Sophie uses a numbing cream, but be advised that it still hurts (just like any tattoo). I wish she had given me more information on aftercare after my first visit, but she did give me a lot of information after my touch-up, so they turned out better than expected. Its been 3 months since my touch-up and they still look great. I use some cheap Elf eyebrow stuff to just fine the lines and make them look sharper. It used to take me 5 minutes to do my eyebrows and they were oily and gross against my skin; now it takes me 20 seconds and they look so natural! Love them.

Once I know the design I want for my first tattoo, I started looking at tattoo artist. I visited several to get a feel of the shop and artists. I saw Black Diamond Tattoo on Yelp. Justin Jakus has really great reviews. I wasnt sure about the shop but once I met Justin, I felt really comfortable with him. Justin is pretty booked up with appointments but you can walk in on weekends. If you dont want to wait for too long, be there 30 minutes to an hour before the store opens. I spoke to him on a weekday and came back on Saturday. My tattoo was on my left rib, Justin was great at making sure it does hurt too bad. My tattoo looks exactly like the art I came up with. It was a painful but awesome experience. When I expend on my art, I will definitely come back to see Justin Jakus.

Shop is nice, clean, and open. Very welcoming atmosphere and the crew comes off as nice and genuinely care/interested in the work each other are doing. Juan did a realistic portrait of a Lion for me and it turned out amazing. The process from beginning to end was very smooth and seamless. I noticed that many of the artist here like to listen to their personal music while inking their clients. Do not take offense to this as its not them not wanting to socialize with you but they really need to be relaxed and in their mode/groove to ink you for hours. Will for sure come back on my next visit to LA.

Came in on a Sunday for a walk-in slot with Justin J. He and I spoke briefly about the idea, he told me"Yeah, we can do that." Within 20 minutes I had the stencil on my leg and was getting ready to go. The piece turned out beautiful and I would definitely return to Black Diamond for another tattoo.
