Tony is great. Anna and Connie were so helpful in recommending an artist and setting up an appointment. I had a tattoo on my thigh that I wanted to get expanded. The pre-existing was done out of state and I wasnt willing to travel to complete it. It was important to me to find an artist that was able to make the addition look consistent. When I first talked to Tony he complimented the pre-existing and mentioned that he didnt really feel like I needed to add to it. That type of attitude and willingness to (potentially) turn away work for the sake of the tattoo is gold in my book. He worked with me to figure out exactly what I wanted and knocked it out quickly. Overall it was comfortable. Very grateful to the shop and look forward to returning.

After checking out every tattoo shop around Haight, I decided to go with The Dolorosa Tattoo Studio. First thing which stood out for me was the cleanliness and light in the place.Then Ben and Melissa telling me about the shop and their talented artists. . I came in just after the Christmas bustle and they werent busy. Ben and Sadie had a look at my tattoo which needed retouching/slight redesign and Sadie seemed to know just what I was wanting. She was calm, extremely nice, and not overly chatty. I was so thrilled with her work as I was really worried, but she quickly made it a tattoo I was happy to have. Hope to see Sadie again in the future for a new tattoo!

On a vacation in los angeles, i got a tattoo done on my hand at the Dolorosa by Tony "solgr" Tovar . The tattoo is wonderful , i love it , the staff were so so nice and helpful especially because i needed it done within the afternoon... The place is clean and 100% great in all ways. Very professional!! I will def go back there next time Im in LA.
