This place has so much to offer. You could literally take the whole family there and everyone would leave happy. If youre bored and are looking for somewhere to go (alone or with your family), Nut Tree Plaza has something for everyone. A bit of caution here though, there are plenty of stores that have very affordable items and some places even offer free entertainment for the kiddos, but there are also places that are WAY overpriced. Try and get an idea of what a store is about and the price range before you wander in there with your children (or yourself and your bank account for that matter ). The playground is awesome with lots of things to climb, swing, and play with. There isnt really any shade there though, so if its very hot out, Id either avoid it or make sure you bring a hat, sunscreen, and water for the little ones. The train ride for your children is about $5... kind of pricey for a ten minute ride in a circle, but my son loves it. The small Jelly Belly store is really cool and super affordable. Fentons is great (but be prepared for a bit of a wait in the summer months). APRICOT HILL BOUTIQUE is one of my absolute favorite clothing stores in the area. Yes its a little pricey, yes its on the smaller side as far as selection, but you will not be disappointed in the items there. If you live around Nut Tree, or are just in town for a visit, try and get over there to check it out. You wont regret it!!!

Lots of good shopping.. Big Stores.. Michaels, Best Buy, Petco, Cost Plus World Market etc.. a couple of smaller stores that are fun to check out. So disappointing though that its associated with the Nut Tree name. Call me nostalgic, but the Nut Tree was a symbol of Vacaville and neither the family nor the city cared to keep the heart of Vacaville beating. Instead its just an extension of the overpriced Factory Stores. They tried to keep the fun alive for kids with the once working amusement park, but with the millions of excuses Ive been given... from they cant afford the insurance, no ones wants to invest, its not profitable enough for the city, yada yada yada... they have the train and the carousel. Probably a good 30 minutes and its time to move on... So sad. I miss the toy store, the Fruit & Nut Shop, and the train ride to the Airport (which there is no longer access to). I realize things cant stay the same but this was not an improvement! More congestion less heart!

The bead store what can I say. I love it. Great variety great staff and prices lower than most other bead stores around here. They have classes and the staff is more than willing to take their time and help you with the project if youre having trouble with it. I highly recommend it. Even though I think I may have called it the wrong name I think its the Bead Gallery Im not sure but its the only bead place in the whole nut tree Plaza. I also recommend Thorntons and Sons Jewelers. I purchased jewelry from them since 2004 . I have had rings that Ive gotten from other places resized. And its nice to know that your working with someone thats from the area. Buy Local!

Unique and Charming characteristics with small yet well known and Famous worldwide products from around the world that draw people from all corners of the Earth. It is right across the street from the Vacaville Factory Outlets. There are several places to eat and dine here that are tasty as well as many shops to go in and look through. I enjoy the layout of it and how well it is landscaped as well as the look of it and the people watching. There is plenty of shade here since Vacaville is known for its extreme heat you can easily find shade and all the stores have air conditioning.

A newer shopping area, its lost its luster from the olden times when it was hay bales and felt more like a fair with great booths and activities during the holidays. When they rebuilt this place as a shopping center they had originally put in roller coasters and a whole kids section but when the economy tanked it shuttered. Now they have a short trip on the train and a carousel. Besides those two things, its a normal shopping center. The one bright spot in this shopping center is the Thai restaurant - one of the best ive been to.

I this place go to Childrens Choice dental for my children and I like that they have a small little amusement-parkish area right across the way. Its a very large area with lots of different places to eat and see and so far Ive been to Sees Candy and that ice cream place which I liked very much. You could have a full day of family fun here if you had a quite a bit of money but maybe there are cheaper eatery options that I have yet to visit. I like this place though.

Fentons is great but not cheap. Good selection. Some items huge. Ask ahead as ice cream melts. Total calorie fest! Parking good. Lots to choose from--several home stuff stores. Home goods good stuff good prices but unfriendly not helpful staff especially at check out. Act like theyre doing you a favor taking your $ rather than the other way around. Short return policy. Also pet store, several smaller ethnic eateries, worth the visit.

Great variety of shops, ample parking, THE CAROUSEL..we LOVE the carosel! This whole area is kept clean, and I feel safe here...no obvious thugs and gangstas congregating. Reasonably priced goods for sale and the shops are not so crowded that a person must wait in long lines to order or check out. Nice mix of retail and restaurants and, of course, the CAROUSEL and the trsin, too.

They are trying to recapture what the old nut tree was, And although this is still a good place to stop - it feels a lot more generic then that place ever did. The shops are mostly chain stores and the restaurants again fairly common fare; but the play area is nice and the rides for tickets (although not cheap) are affordable.

We found the Nut Tree Family Park to be closed and under construction when we visited this past weekend. It appears as though there has been a change in ownership. A new version of the park is suppose to open at the end of August. You may want to call before you make the drive...

We love this place. We ride the train and carousel all the time, our daughter loves it. Although the rocking horses are looking a little rough and there definitely should be more kids stuff in that area. The shops are all pretty good. The restaurants are also nice. Its a nice area.

Super fun, kid friendly place to hang out for a few hours. Theres a ton of restaurants, two play areas, mini train and carousel. Plus restrooms all over. We spent nearly four hours here one Sunday. Definitely a great addition to our list of fun kid activities to do.
