Today, I went into Marshalls Upland, which I have never had a complaint about. When I arrived home, I did not immediately go through my packages, when I did, I noticed that I was missing a puzzle for my grandson. First of all, I could not get the store to answer, when they finally did, they said the power went out, which it might have. When I asked if my item was still at the check out, they indicated, that I was probably wrong. I felt the clerk was very inconsiderate and asked to speak to a manager. They did check and found my item. I indicated that I could not go back in that night and wanted to make sure they would hold the item. They asked if I could come in that night, again I said no. I felt they were not at all sorry about the incident and thought it was no big deal. With the price of gas these days, I do not like the idea that I have to go back to the store and retrieve the item, with they taking no responsiblity at all. They are as far as I am concerned ,need training to first of all, check there packaging to make sure the items have been put in the customers bags, and also make sure they have some training on how to handle a situation when a customer is not happy.

I am usually okay with the staff arriving late to their jobs and opening a few minutes late, we are all human and not perfect. I use to work customer service at Starbucks and people expect the store open to be open right on time; which I was in charge of, so I understand. I am not okay when they are opening late and see you standing outside for 10 minutes and dont say anything to you...Multiple employees. There was like 5 employees by the door and they all looked at me. I would have at least said we are running late or something.

Show section was not organized and some prices were high like department store. I am sure the rent for the store location and design is less than a department store. Therefore the price of their merchandise should be less.

The shelves were messy and difficult to navigate. This store has a very thriftstore vibe to it. If you can find what youre looking for, the prices are reasonable.
