im sorry but they dont have any respect to the costumers ant this si my story if you would like to get involved in my story and how i will never recommend petco nor this specific one and especiaally this SPECIFIC one to nobody :I am very dissatisfied from your service and your stores, ive been shopping at your stores since 6 years and im not pleased from your service. to tell you the truth I AM NOT COMING BACK TO any PETCO, SO you have lost your costumer and other would bes that i know because i will tell what has happened to others i know that have a pet to inform them. *****i am dissatisfied from your service because you dont --even-- take care of your animals and i have bought 4 guinea pigs till now from your stores and suprisingly all of them were sick with either conjunctivitis, mites, ringworm!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~i am more suprised by one of your associates at specifically store# 0313 orig assoc:009 in the date 6/19/2011 original trn:3744 with SALES ASSOCIATE 2!!!! WHICH was samantha, i am very unpleased with her attitude and how she talked back very sure that she is right because she works there and the story was that i bought BOO my guinea pig from the mountain view store in CA & it was june19 then on July,3,2011 i toook it to the elcamino store in sunnyvale 94087it was closer to us so that you couldtake it to the vetaccording to theguarantee.my guinea pig was scratching a lot and today is july 6!!! july 4th was off i understand but its 3days that i desperatley want my pet back and im still waiting, supposed to get her back today so i drove to store 0313 with sales associate 2(samantha) because of her mistake of not giving my money back i have to go back tmorrow and the the TRUTH will come

Not thrilled with Petco in general, especially after finding out about all the problems theyve had with their employees abusing the animals (video of one guy slamming hamsters against the wall, etc.) If it were an isolated incident, it would be different because you cant always tell a psychopath by looking or talking to them. But it seems to be a recurring problem. I dont feel most of the employees care about animals in the least, with a couple of exceptions. Prices are too high, theyre not very knowledgeable about animals & their care, & shouldnt be selling a lot of the animals they have there to begin with. For the most part, theyre dealing with live, sentient beings, but treat them like inanimate objects. I try to avoid them, along with Petsmart

My wife setup an appointment to groom our cat and when I arrived they told me they dont groom cats. In addition they made it very clear it was my mistake and not theirs and made me feel like a fool. When I arrived to the area Petco was my goto store either physically or online. With time due to misleading promotions, hard to find items and a bad grooming experience I started going there less and less. On my way out I bought some cat food using a coupon that I got. The coupon went through but for some reason my rewards were not passed to the card and I couldnt use them. The person at the register told me he was sorry and yes the website can be confusing. Petco lost my business today. Hope they get their act together before they lose a lot more.

If I could not give no star .. I went to buy ration for my dog .. she is still baby .. pug .. I asked for suggestion for the purchase .. I was indicated a ration of adult dog and normal ration .. I went to a consultation with The veterinarian and she told me that I could not give this ration because besides being for an adult dog .. my dog needs a diet ration .. I took the open ration (obvious) to be changed because it was not my fault but the person who Sold me .. they said that they were not responsible for the ration being open .. obviously that would be open because 2 days she ate of this ration .. for this and other things .. my total dislike and never come back in that place

Not too bad of a pet store but not one I would choose as my main store, especially when looking to buy a pet. I was buying fish there a few weeks ago and the employee told me which fish I could put in the same tank. I was excited and well he was supposed to be the specialist so I went home with the fish he suggested. Sadly enough I found out one was a jumper and jumped straight out of the tank that night. Another I had read was prone to eating my neon tetras. Moral of the story make sure to do through research before giving petco your money.

Ive been to other Petcos and this one is a bit run down. However we decided to get some fresh water fish for our tank (in our 4 year old sons room). We got 2 black mollys, 2 tetras, 6 zebra danios, and 1 chinese algae eater. Within 10 minutes of putting them all in the tank the mollys had eaten the zebra danios. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THE GIRL THERE HAD WARNED US...SHE WASNT HELPFUL. We ASKED her if these fish would get along. So maybe look for a "mom and pop" store. We found a nice one in Mountain View.

WORST PETCO IVE EVER BEEN TO. Lets just start off by saying how rude the manager is at this location. My son and I came to this store to pick out a nice fish. We approached one of the workers to ask a question. She was instantly annoyed basically rolling her eyes at us when we asked one question. Horrible customer service and zero help. Come to find out that she is the manager. I feel bad for the employees that have to work with her. Definitely taking my business elsewhere!

This is a good place to stop by if you are in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way to come to this Petco when there are places like Pet Food Express who I feel truly love animals and believe in/are knowledgable about all of their products. I come here to buy my dog her favorite toy - a fox with no stuffing. She is obsessed with it and I recommend picking one up for your dog. :) Anyway, nothing too great or disappointing about this place, just not my go-to place.

Addie has been grooming my dog for years, and he enjoys going. As to the pet supplies, sometimes some items are out of stock. But nice place to shop as the aisles are spacious. And they often have cute pets out for adoption.

I love that they sell tortoises and exotic looking frogs! Still, no snake selection. In addition, there was a spill by the fish. Yikes. Still, theres a great groomer in the back. Very quick to do doggy nail clippings.

We use their grooming service. They are friendly, handle special requests (e.g. stuff ears with cotton) well, and are great with the dogs. Our dog even recognizes Geoff at checkout, since he always gives him a treat.

Friendly staff both in the main store as well in the grooming department. Most of the staff do truly seem to love animals, which helps when asking for purchasing advice or leaving your pup for a haircut.
