This place is horrible, I dont like it. I have bought rotten meat, expired food from here and the parking is a joke, it takes like 15 mins to find parking because the store is so over crowed because its the only super market in South El Monte. The lines to check out are the same, takes for ever to stand in line and pay for your food. When the Numero Uno Market was open, the people who didnt want to stand in long lines and buy crappy food would go there and everything was great. But now we are forced to shop at Superior because its the only market in the area. I just heard the news that the old Numero Uno Market is going to be a 99 cents store, Really??? a 99 cents store?? The city of South El Monte does not need a 99 cents store, we need another market. Supposedly El Super and Northgate Market were very interested in opening up a store there and were already talking to the city, but for some reason it didnt go through. I believe the rumors are true, that the oriental owners from Superior are kicking somebody down with $$$ so that they stand as the only market in South El Monte. Its just funny how our neighboring city of El Monte has so many super markets and we are stuck with one crappy one. Im going to tell all my friends and family to boycott Superior and the new 99 cents store because until we get another market, i wont shop there.

The only reason I come here is because its close to my house. Their prices are not that great, their selection is pretty limited, and the quality of produce is crap. In all honestly, the produce is so cheap because either it was picked prematurely or it has gone beyond its peak freshness. And their meat is dark, meaning its not very fresh. I went to buy some beef stew meat and they only had a pound and a half. Really? Im feeding a family of 6! And today when I made it, the meat was really tough and had an off taste. That was the worst meat I have ever gotten and I am disgusted. I would much rather drive across town to Food4Less and get a better selection, lower prices, shorter lines, friendlier employees, and better quality produce and meat. Superior is a joke.

One of the better supermarkets in the area. This place is fairly new so you can expect cleanliness throughout the market. Specials happen every Wednesday and Thursdays. The produce is super cheap compared to main stream chains. This is a mexican market so some items are limited. We mainly just go for produce and some times some cheap chicken.

Alright, this is a ghetto location, but I do find produce for good deals here! I also love that I can get my fix for Mexican candy or Tajin here haha. In addition to cheap produce, I also find that their alcohol here tends to be a little cheaper. They also have a small deli/meat section where you can get tamales and fresh tortas!

such a great grocery store. Ive often bought taco meat for $1.49 a pound or avocados for 20 cents, or pan dulce for 33 cents. or bags of freshly fried tortilla chips. the butcher case is always a deal as well, and parking is plentiful

Poor selection of good produce, horrible meat selection, they pack fat and bones under pre packed meat to increase weight, also many product from large chain stores not available here, I choose to go to stores outside the city.
