As a ex employee of the store , I can tell you that it is not clean in the slightest, the produce is NOT fresh, for one, the rotisserie chicken is expired it says kill date on the box from june 2016 & on the use by date it says dec 2016. We are already in feb of 2017 and they still sell it like that, have you ever wondered why it doesnt taste juicy or when it gets cold it isnt good anymore? Employees dont tend to do the job well , and instead of working they talk and dont get their job done or ignore their customers. Theres plenty of expired goods that they sell if you dont check properly. Oh the meat falls on the ground? Put it back in the meat area, oh marinated meat and chicken is fresh? More like marinated to hide the fact that its meat more than a week old. Be very wary when shopping here , very dissatisfied with how they treat the employees, dont wanna pay overtime , no hours and crappy pay for work that needs to be paid for what your doing.

Enter into the panaderia (bakery) to your left, followed by a deli with fresh warm Mexican food sold per pound or per entree. Continue to a full-service butcher, self-serve meat and fish. Asles are packed with bargains on everything from cleaning supplies and toiletries to pantry items with store-brand items typically priced around one dollar! The produce section is located in the far right corner on the eastern side of the market offers some amazing bargains and one-day only sales typically on Wednesday and Thursday, such as 6 for $1 avocados. Great market, especially for preparing from-scratch food since big-brand preprepaired items are not always a great deal. If you are on a budget, I highly recommend checking Baja ranch market out!

Why arent customers allowed to take pictures inside of the market? Im not setting up a scene to make the store look unsanitary, or suspicious in any way. I was trying to take a close-up picture of some COW LIPS which I do not want to buy (because its horrific what we do to animals) and I was asked to stop and to leave. Does the manager have nothing else better to do? Maybe thats a positive sign of the stores health, lol. But in a free country, why cant I, an AMERICAN, take a picture in your Mexican market? What is the big deal? Is it a matter of hiding something, or disavow for individuals freedoms, simple and pure control over customers rights? Why the inane rules?

Buen servico De todos. Pero I was asked for EBT. I aint broke, Im in a fever state as in a cold and sick. Julema the CASHIER should not ask for EBT on how my appearance is like. But first cash or credit like every other Mexican Store. Julema gave me a bad experience as she walked away in embarrassment and I was helped by a better cashier. Dont assume Im a homeless or a EBT USER! BAD SERVICE 2 STARS THE CASHIERS JUDGE YOU !!!!!

Clean and close to offices in the Financial District. Great spot to buy snacks and food either for the office or at home. There is a Food bar near the bakery section where you can get your lunch/dinner by the pound. Service is very nice and friendly. If you bring your own bag or dont ask for a paper bag, they will take 10 cents off your grocery bill.

Las cajeras son despotas y no te ponen atención por estar platicando entre ellas y ademas te contestan de mala manera y la comida y el pan dejan mucho de que desear

Want some good, fresh cut marinated carne asada for your next Sunday BBQ? Come visit their butcher dept. and make sure you ask for marinade when placing your order. Besides that, produce is super cheap and fresh. Check out their weekly ad at the front of the store so you know if the Corona or Tecante is on sale!

There a wide variety of good house made fare, notably their tortillas chips, sweet breads and salsa molcajete. Prices for regular groceries are low and generally theres a wide variety. Their hot foods, like burritos and fried chicken, are not good, but I havent sampled it all. Service is pretty good.

Larger selection than the Union Square location. Lines can be long, but it moves fairly quickly. Friendly and helpful staff. Avoid the prime times if you dont like waiting on line.

Not the markets fault, but frequently theres a group of men sitting on the benches eating their meal - they cat call and stare at women as they walk by; really obnoxious

The produce is as cheap as it gets, and pretty good quality. And if you love latin america, like I do, its a little taste of home. Great place.
