Based on past disappointment and frustration, I called ahead to see if they still repaired iphone glass, if a repair guy was in and available (there is often not), and if so was that guy was backed up (I know they get backed up and the wait time can be super long here). The young kid who answered the phone sounded painfully, tragically bored. He could hardly find the energy to speak with me. In response to my first question, "Do you still do iphone glass repair?", I got no response...for minutes. I couldnt tell whether hed put the phone down to find someone or if he was slowly thinking about whether it was a "yes" or "no" answer. ?? I asked several times over the next few minutes, "Hello?" "Are you there?" "Are you thinking?" "Hello hello?" etc. He finally uttered words: "89.99" Um, ok. I guess thats a yes. We work through my other questions, which pain him to answer--he mumbles, he utters monosyllables. I cant believe they let this guy answer the phone. If I hadnt been to this store before, Id never bother to go in. I have a bad feeling, but I try to trust the information: bored kid says the repair guy is in and not backed up. I jump immediately into my car, drive straight to the store and...surprise! New story, from the older man working the counter: sorry, two of three repair guys are out today (this place *always* seems to be missing people, its why I called!), and there are 3 things ahead of me. It will be 3-4 hours. RRRR! This is WHY I called!! Instead of saying, "Im sorry you werent told the situation more clearly here," the older guy instead says, "I wish we didnt even have to repair those darn things! Everyone is always in such a hurry for them. We get teenage girls in here who want them in 5 minutes." What?! I have not asked for this in 5 minutes...Im not an impatient teenager...Im a working, busy adult who has tried to call ahead to get proper expectations set and plan my time accordingly. Old guys response, "Well things change. I was out to lunch, but all that probably happened after you called." Maybe all that work came in during the 10 minutes it took me to drive there, but Im guessing not. After years of being a loyal customer here, Im really done with this place--they are always missing people, service is insanely slow paced, and I cant even find a workaround by calling ahead. I see someone cares enough to respond to these reviews, but also hasnt done anything about "brain dead" guy (surely the same kid who answered the phone) since the review complaint about him 4 months ago.

I ordered online to get the discount and when I went to pick up the battery, it was a bigger size than the one I was replacing. I had been particularly careful on this as I had the same experience once before. I believe that the website needs to be clearer on the description of what is being ordered, perhaps to show the dimensions and terminal placement to facilitate the proper selection. Fortunately, the bigger battery would fit and since I had ordered it for the higher CCA rating, I was pleased with that. Overall, the local store staff were great, the website OK.

These guys are fabulous! I took my car in with a dead battery - they charged it, spent half a day diagnosing it, determined I did not need a new one, and charged me nothing. Took the time to install my watch battery and only charged me for the battery. Their customer service is so good I would use them even if their prices were high, but they are not! I am amazed and delighted to find a merchant in these times who operates out of these values.

The person who answered the phone sounded like he was brain dead, and not the least bit interested in helping me. But after checking every other place in town, Batteries Plus was the only place that might have what I needed. Once I got to the store, I felt better and walked out with exactly what I came for. One of my relatives has had only good experiences with them. Her five stars minus my two equals a three-star rating.

My wife needed a battery for her Ott Lite. I know it is a specific battery that only fits an Ott Lite. A quick google search showed the listing for the Scotts Valley store and it said they have the battery. I ordered it online & sent my wife to pick up her battery. The battery was installed in her light an she was back in 20 minutes. Easy peasy!
