I recently took my older Macbook (laptop) to City Mac for a new battery. They did, in fact, replace the battery ($149 + King County WA sales tax of 9.5%. It took about a week for them to complete the job as they said didnt have the right battery in stock and they had to order one in.) Seemed like a reasonable time frame and price, so far so good. I left my laptop at the store so they would be able to install the new battery as soon as it arrived. It took about a week which I did not find unreasonable, all things considered. However, I discovered upon getting home, that the technician(s?) had cracked the lid of the case at each hinge. Someone had clearly picked up the laptop by the lid rather than by the entire body, and/or bent it back to the point where the case material (some sort of plastic?) cracked. When I called to report this they said I should bring it back in when the Manager was there. I did so, fully expecting some sort of offer of compensation. Instead the Manager, in modern language, "blew me off" and offered me a free class! I told her in no uncertain terms that I did not need a class, I needed my laptop intact and unbroken, the way I gave it over to them. She basically accused me (in front of everyone in the store) of cracking the case at my home and trying to blame them! This truly infuriated me. Im a retired teacher, honest and above board, and it would never, ever have occurred to me do such a thing! I was so dumbfounded I took my laptop and left without further exchange of words. This would be like taking my car to a garage for an engine repair and getting it back with a big scratch or dent in a door--ie, nothing that would affect operation, but not in its original condition, either. I will NEVER go to this store even though it is quite close to my rural home. Based on a good friends recommendation Ill spend the extra gas and time to go to the "real" Apple store thats about 30 miles from my home. And when the time comes for purchasing my next Apple product, I will certainly not consider ANY City Mac outlet, anywhere. If theyre all like City Mac Issaquah, they are mere sellers of goods, not genuine, service-oriented personnel. I will say here that Ive had better attention, follow-up and customer service at both Target and Best Buy. This was a great lesson in Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware.)

Just got a new iPhone and went into CityMac for help with transferring data from my old phone and setting everything up how I wanted. For 2 hours, Brian, Ian, and Amin helped me work out every little quirk to ensure my new phone would operate exactly as I wanted it. Not only were these guys extremely helpful in making the transition between phones go as smoothly as possible, but they were also very friendly and made my experience at CityMac a positive one. A huge thank you to all three of those guys, and I will most definitely return next time I need tech help.

Went there to buy a new case since my old one broke. Very nice when you step in. The employees are helpful and sometimes come by to ask questions or suggest anything. Only issue I had while I was there was that they were a couple cents short on change. I had to give up a nickel but it didnt make me mad about that. All I suggest is to have change ready at all times. Despite if people pay with debit cards or credit cards more often than not. Good place and environment but that was unprofessional.

My dad just bought me a new computer from this location and within a week I was having issues. I came into the store to have it diagnosed and within 3 days they discovered a massive problem with the board, had it replaced with a newer machine with faster processing, and they even upgraded my RAM at no charge! All the guys in here are extremely kind and have amazing customer service. I live in Seattle and coming here for all my Mac needs is certainly worth the drive!

These guys rock! I purchased an iPhone 6 from these guys earlier this year and the experience was amazing.. they backed up all my stuff right there and handled the transition to my new phone flawlessly. Ive also taken my Mac in there for service and always found them to be knowledgeable, professional and over communicative about my Mac or iPhone issues. And its so much better than waiting for 20-30 minutes at the Verizon store.

Brad and other associate (believe it was Ahmed) were extremely helpful with a technical issue I had with one of my phones. What resonated most with my experience at CityMac was there willingness to help me with my problem while not pushing me to purchase any product in their store. They seem to genuinely care for any customer that walks through their door regardless of the issue.

I took my 2011 Mac Book Pro in to upgrade my hard drive to SSD. The labor was $149 + parts. I left my Mac Book Pro overnight. They got it done the next day. The experience was very good. One minor thing is their technician is not in store all the time. Call ahead before you stop by.

My wife and I went to CityMac for a 1 hour personal class session after we had previously stopped in to check out a few things on our 2 laptops. We both learned a lot that other "mac experts" couldnt figure out or perform correctly. We highly recommend! Plus - no waiting.

I visited TD Curran because I had done something stupid to my Mac. Their service technician quickly corrected my mistake and did so gratis. What a great surprise! I will certainly purchase my next Mac from TD Curran
