Kyo-Po isnt as upscale as Hankook - I see a lot more older Koreans here than there. The produce section is more varied and I can get a few things here (like kat) that I cant get elsewhere. They dont have deli-style banchan like Hankook, which is too bad. Overall, its a more on-you-own shopping experience than Hankook and probably not as easy for a westerner to navigate (Im a westerner, but I shop almost exclusively Korean). I like their house brand kimchi better than Hankooks, when I have to buy Kimchi. I shop at Hankook more because its closer to home, but if I lived equal distances from the two, I suspect Id be at Kyo-Po more. Im really sorry they closed teh store on El Camino- the cucumber kimchi was to die for, but it keeps poorly and I dont go through it fast enough to buy it in the container sizes they have here. Im making kimchi this weekend, and Ill drive the extra miles to go here. I like that they have their dried anchovies refrigerated. Ive generally had much better customer service here than at Hankook.

In A Nutshell: -I remember when Super Kyo-po was located on El Camino next to my uncles sushi spot, then they relocated to this BIGGER location +/- 10 years ago. -They always have fresh veggies and import Korean grapes, melons & pears. -The meat/seafood section is slightly lacking, but they offer a large selection of Korean ingredients (i.e. gochujang, sesame seed oil, soy sauce, etc...) to get your chef on in the kitchen. -They also have a great selection of banchan, seaweed, noodles and rice (neatly stacked up front). -Another plus is their kitchen offerings. -Fresh jokbal simmering and ready to-go, to visually wrapped mackerel, honey/red pepper chicken wings and japchae is all available to purchase. Overall, support this local grocery store an original business of Silicon Valleys K-Town.

Very overpriced produce that isnt fresh. I was thinking of cooking some Korean and Chinese dishes yesterday and I happened to dine at JX Cuisine in the same shopping mall. So, after finishing at JX, I went to Kyo-Po market. I was shocked at the prices and appalling quality of the meat and vegetables. The meat was mostly thawed from frozen and so much of their greens actually looked wilted. The so-called "fresh" seafood seemed depressing. Whats wrong with this place? A management/ownership change, maybe? It used to offer much better quality and value before. At the end, I headed over to Lion City for Asian vegetables and Mitsuwa for sliced meat/seafood. Even Korean noodles were cheaper at Lion City.

The reason why we come here is because some of the unique items that hey have. My brother found this frozen ddokbokki pack thats pretty easy to make in a skillet. Weve been coming back to buy it again. Some of their produce is also more fresh and higher in quality than other Asian super markets. If you like to shop around for quality and price, add this supermarket to your list.

Good place to shop for korean groceries and take a quick, yummy bite. Large store, huge selections on a variety of items. Plenty of seasoned seaweed choices, frozen and fresh noodles galore, tofu up the wazoo, kimchee by the bucket, meats, seafood, weekend food tastings, large fruit and vegetable section. Clothing, special food offerings, rice cookers, kitchen accessories, etc.

Its truly a Korean store. If you are not Korean youd have a hard time knowing what things are as everything is labeled in Korean. You just have know what the stuff are. They dont carry the most basic western products like ketchup, but its a convenient place to pick up fresh produce.

average korean supermarket and its a through back to the 80s over crowded with merchandise, doesnt always give you a clean feeling. produce is sometimes hit or miss. prices are average but id rather go to Hankook supermarket on El Camino.

Produce are cheaper comparing to other store, but dairy products are expensive. People, including cashiers and customers, are nice. Shopping carts are in good condition and parking is always convenient.

New Korean market with reasonable produce, huge fresh fish section, and ok prepared hot food / take-out area. During colder months you can buy fresh-roasted sweet potatoes - yum!

Great food at the hot food section they have the large portion of fried rice for 9.99, noodles for 7.99 and an even larger one for 15 to share.

This is a good size Korean Super Market. Not as top notch as Hankook down the street, but has everything you need.
